Chelwood Dental Practice

Dreadful. Booked hygienist, arrived to be told they don't employ a hygeinist so they'll do a check up/scale polish. NOT what I booked. Desperately looking for good dental practise in L16 NHS

Was in last week, husband never had any pain at time and he had the same chipped tooth since he was 19.Dentist tried to get him to have it filled, which he said no point as not causing issues and not on view.Had a scale and polish and since then has had horrific pain !They tried to charge me for 3 fillings, I tried to get in March/April but only emergencies at time i had health insurance with work ! Now I’ve been made redundant so lost my insurance and as I want them white they are charging £340 plus my check up charge on top !They charged me for a scale and polish which said I could have when I have my treatment done but after this treatment I think I’ll be going elsewhere !My young child’s first appointment, they are not the best with children. I assumed her first experience would be less traumatic and they would make a bit more effort.

My partner was moved between rooms during the process of getting a filling we are quite convinced he never needed with no painkillers given and sprayed with water during the process. The filling is already causing pain. They made him a night guard retainer, the mold of which they broke and only recast when he arrived to pick up the retainer a week later.

Got a root canal of Prema, the specialist. Really good, thorough service which includes whitening the tooth. I rang around most local dentists and this was the most affordable option. The team were happy to stop when my jaw started to ache and gave frequent updates throughout the process for reassurance. Would recommend

Called me in for an appointment only to tell me that I couldn’t be served because of a dispute with the owner of the dentist. The assistant dentist has a very bad attitude and is very rude. The actual dentist tried to charge me £45 for a checkup too even though I was an NHS patient at the time. Poor dentist would avoid at all costs

I take my routine check ups from Chelwood Dental. The dentists are professional, but I'd like to thank Jessica for always being so friendly. It makes such a difference when a nurse treats you in such a friendly way. She makes all my check ups seamless. Chelwood Dental is a professional and friendly clinic.

Thank you Chelwood Dental for all your help with my teeth. I had very painful teeth which I thought was gum disease. There was a lot of pain and it felt like my teeth were moving and were loose. I rushed to Chelwood Dental where their nurse booked me an appointment as soon as she could so that I could be treated. My dentist found out that the pain was because I needed a wisdom tooth extracted and a plaque treatment. I got both treatments done subsequently at Chelwood Dental. Thanks to them, I was pain free.

I had my 1st appointment with these as nhs patient he asked me to pay 25 pound towards my check up I said I don't pay I am exempt I dong pay then he said u need to pay another 75 pound on ur treatment I said what treatment didn't like the experience at all attitude off him so no good I will go and pay for my treatment in a more professional place never again would I step foot in here bad 1st time

Used to be good now awful. Cut staff down to the bone. Kept me waiting with no explanation. Dentist refused to use lidocaine on me and family for fillings. Had to push for pain relief. Hurt me anyway and dental assistant laughed at me when I had to put hand up to stop treatment. Kept me waiting again at separate appointment. Had to ask them to actually apologise for putting me out for work. Laughed at me when I said I was moving practices. No loss on my end.
