Glauca Rossi School of Make Up

My time at Glauca was absolutely amazing, the teachers are amazing and you learn so much in such little time. I felt that overtime Glauca become my second home and second family, you really get to create a bond with the teachers and meet new students and make long lasting friendships. I still return to Glauca to visit the team because of how amazing my experience there was. For people who are interested in learning makeup and exploring techniques I would highly recommend Glauca.

Nina and I did the course in september 2022 and we left with mixed feelings.On one hand we had a great experience and learned a lot, giving us a good start into the make-up business. But on the other hand we see lots of things to improve on from the school side.The make-up kit as described on the website/in the brochure was a full suitcase with products to use during the course and afterwards. Unfortunately many of the products appeared to be low quality and you had to buy lots of extra products, which was unexpected from the previous description.Azzurra was the head teacher with years of experience that we learned a lot from. We would have liked a bigger variety of teachers to give us different techniques and views. Leandro was a great and really empathetic teacher. He was able to give feedback in a constructive way without judging your work/personal style.The final photoshooting with Marco was really unorganized. In our case, when we arrived, the agency and the models did not know that an MUA would be coming. When they found out, they were not happy about it, only having very little time, when it was supposed to be our final representation of what we learned.The second one was with Adrien, where you got more support, better structure and more professionalism.All in all we do not regret attending the course, we learned a lot, improving our skills and meeting great people along the way, but we did expect a bit more from a renowned school. It seems like over the years, not much innovation has taken place.For the future, we would wish for a more modern approach to be able to keep up to date.Giana & Nina

I attended Glauca Rossi school of makeup for the 8 week course and it definitely was the best decision of my life. The amazing teachers make you feel right at home with a perfect mix of constructive criticism and kindheartedness. I am so grateful to have learned from them. Also the fact that the groups you‘ll learn in are small sized maximises the skill you will gain to train your eyes and hands.It is a bit pricey but here you will 100% get what your money is worth. Highly recommend.

I had a personal 1-1 make-up lesson with Azzurra. It was a great experience, 3 hours just flew by and I learnt so much. The session is very personalised and you learn exactly what you need/want to know. We also discussed my skincare routine and I took away a lot of advice and hints and tips on that too. Overall, I feel like I not only closed the knowledge gaps I knew I had, but also discovered and learnt how to address some skincare / make up bad habits that I didn’t even know I had! It all made sense with Azzurra’s straightforward explanations of ‘why’. Azzurra is very knowledgeable and professional. I regret not doing this years ago. I think I will be back to learn more advanced techniques one day.

I studied at Glauca Rossi Shool of Makeup in 2022, I chose this school from the advise of the biggest makeup artist from my country after I asked him where is the best to study in London, choosing Glauca Rossi was the best decision I made so far. The support you get after school, the knowledges I gain during the 8 weeks course and the confidence in myself truly made me to change the perspective about myself. The portfolio you get after the course is very helpful for my career to start. After the course i got so many contact to help me get a job or to build my portfolio, exactly what you need after a makeup course. I highly recommend this course if you want to get into the industry in the right way!

5/5 I would highly recommend! I had a 1-2-1 session with Azzurra who was so professional and knowledgable but also so fun!! I learnt application techniques as well as colour matching to suit my skin tone. I was also given product recommendations and the application was so natural to make me look glowing and beautiful without looking caked with makeup. Loved it. I will be back in a few months!! X

I attended Glauca Rossi School of Makeup in January 2022 and completed the 8 week Fashion Makeup course.Whilst deciding which makeup school was best suited to me, Glauca was extremely patient and kind when answering all my questions, and I felt well informed when making the decision.Upon arrival, a makeup kit is provided for you on the longer courses, equipping you with the essentials that you will need for this journey. The size of the classes are small which allow each student to have sufficient 1-on-1 time with the teacher. During the course, you learn about all the aspects of fashion and glam makeup as well as a variety of period looks too. At the end of the course, you also get the opportunity to experience photoshoots with professional photographers, thus providing a good foundation for your portfolio.My experience would not have been complete without the head tutor, Azzurra. Not only is she an accomplished artist, but she’s also an incredibly kind teacher. Her patience, encouragement and passion have helped to transform my skills and have moulded me into the artist I am today.Once the course has finished, you are not just pushed out into the real world empty handed. The school provides a wide array of contacts to help you find your feet in the field. Azzurra also encourages you to come back and practice before any event/shoot, so even once you’ve finished the course, their support will always be there.I’d highly recommend this course to anyone looking to learn more about makeup. It was a truly incredible experience and I’m so grateful to everyone who was a part of my journey at the school.

I attended the 8 week fashion makeup course at Glauca Rossi School of Makeup! It was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The class was led by the wonderful Azzurra Bonaldo, who is brilliant at what she does and just a lovely human being! In the course of two months, she added a wealth of knowledge to what I thought I already knew about makeup. She’s so talented and such a lovely person to learn from. She’s also honest and straightforward and always wants to improve and prepare us for working in the industry!We were given a complete makeup kit with essential products and brushes. As the weeks went on, we learned how to do different period looks as well as high fashion and glam makeup, and really got to hone our skills. The photoshoot at the end of the course was very professional and a great start to building our own portfolio. Overall, I had the most amazing time at this school and I feel like I came out a much, much better makeup artist than when I went in.

Hello,I graduated in a 12-week course from Glauca Rossi in 2022. I did a lot of research before I chose to join Glauca Rossi. Every result and review, on the internet, wrote that the school topped the charts in its field. I am happy to admit the reviews were right.After having completed the course I am contended to add to the chain so as to say joining Glauca was not just training to become a makeup artist but is definitely an investment. Just to say the least one walks away with a vast knowledge of makeup application and is equipped to work in the professional field.I had the privilege to learn from Miss Azzura Bonaldo. She is an inspiration herself, truly an absolutely brilliant artist to learn from. Watching her demonstrate how to create a look used to be incredible. Her work is impeccable and meticulously neat; her eye for precision demonstrates scintillating aesthetics that would leave an observer inspired to achieve her merit of work.Azzura as a teacher was strict when it came to preparing us for the world of fashion. She'd be brutally honest if she didn't like the work, or if there was something missing or wrong. Beyond that, she is a sweetheart who'd happily glam me up if I had a night out with friends. She is an incredible artist, it was fascinating to watch her absorbed in creating an undeniably beautiful look on me- effortlessly. She has magic in her hands, and I aim to have the same in my work.The course is perfect for a beginner and anyone who is interested to polish their skills for the world of fashion or glam. When I joined I was someone with scarce to zilch knowledge of makeup. I didn't even know what fashion makeup was or what period looks were. Also, whatever I knew about makeup, after joining the school I realised equated to nothing. To be honest, primarily, most of my knowledge of makeup came from watching tutorials on Instagram and YouTube. Definitely, it was a challenge for me to start from scratch. By the grace of God, I can now, after completing my degree and working as a professional, graciously confess to being equipped with everything that a professional makeup artist must know to work in the field. Yet I continue to learn every day. This achievement is accomplished with the help of my most patient teacher Azzura and the guidance of Glauca. Azzura would explain to me a simple method provided with reasons and logic of why and how something was being done. Basically not just the technique but the science behind it too.I walked out of Glauca Rossi as a confident and proud makeup artist, trained by the best of the best in the industry. I can see why the school carries a commendable reputation in its field, it is because Glauca Rossi is not just a school of makeup it is an industry that prepares its students with professionalism that is unmatched in its field. Including, tidiness and hygiene of work. I really admire that even though I have finished my course, sometimes when I want a second opinion I would slide a message to Azzura, and she without a frown responds back immediately.
