Oxwich Bay Hotel

Sat outside in the pretty gardens 2 days running. Love it here, been many times over the years, always feels special. Very quiet one day as the weather was dull. Completely different the next day when the sun was shining. Nice cool beers. Check the website before you go as it very occasionally closes totally for private functions.

It's a lovely hotel in a beautiful spot overlooking the sea. It also allows campers to stay overnight for the price of an evening meal. My previous visits have been awesome, but on my most recent, it was very busy and they were understaffed. My meal took ages, arrived cold after prompting and there was no cutlery. Having said that, the staff to their credit dealt with everything as politely and professionally as they could. Oh, dogs are also made welcome.

Great place to sit and have a drink or some food overlooking the sea. Parasols and picnic benches. Magic location. Excellent service and staff. Dog friendly. Car parking available.It's a bit disappointing that people are disgruntled about the prices - which are not in my view that high given that there are very few places where you get such an unbelievable view in a remote place. It's a hotel, not a pub and it does most of its trading at limited times of the year. So whilst it would be nice to have cheaper drinks I'd rather that a place stays open to be enjoyed on holidays than goes under particularly after such a difficult few years. I have posted the prices of the menu so people can avoid the 'shock' of paying for an amazing location. The prices are no different to nice places in many cities now.

I stopped off here with a friend as we were travelling back from Rhossili to Swansea.From the outside this place looked stunning and the inside matched as well. It was clear that this is an upmarket establishment.We sat at the table and browsed the menu, not cheap if your on a budget. We had to order at the bar as the staff do not take the order at the table which was surprising considering how upmarket the place appeared to be.It was a weekday when we came and it was pretty quiet with only a few customers dotted about.The food arrived in a reasonable time and was well presented but was not as hot as was expected. It was warm but not piping hot. The food was very tasty but costly for what it was!Most of the staff were stood behind the bar chatting. However, there was one member of staff that was lovely. This member of staff welcomed us, checked in with us and said goodbye when we left. Her colleagues could learn from her and need to take a lead out of her book.I’d not come here again for food as I was really looking forwards to it but the overall experience was disappointing due to the poor customer service over all.

We stayed here for a lovely getaway weekend break this October. The location is almost directly on the beach, with spectacular views across the bay, in a tiny community at the end of quiet country roads. The rooms and interior have been refurbished to a very high standard. It's comfortable and quiet, with a generally good and very friendly service. I hesitated to give 5 stars, as I would have give the food menu and quality only 4 stars. They were good, but not excellent. This is a great secluded getaway, or a fabulous wedding venue, and we very much enjoyed our stay!

I stayed in caravan with my parents for my mums birthday. Lovely and spacious has all the basic amenities you need. We went to the hotel for dinner, the food was good and the staff could not have been more attentive and nice!

My wife and I (and dog)spent the night in one of the static caravans. Very comfortable and clean. Just a short walk to the beach. We had an evening meal and wine which was superb. Breakfast the following morning was nice.Above all the staff were polite and friendly. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Had my wedding here on Sunday. It was such an amazing day all the staff were wonderful. Food was very good. Rooms were immaculate. We are both so grateful for the day we had
