Pleasant stay, lovely ambiance to the hotel. Food was good and arrived quickly. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. They seemed understaffed. Also bathroom cleanliness good but not excellent.

The Three Swans Hotel
Very well located pub/ restaurant/ hotel, rooms are of a very good size, good bed, very nice bathroom with shower, TV on the wall, lots of wardrobe space. Excellent staff, nothing was too much for them, very helpful and friendly, good selection of beers and spirits. I will definitely be back sometime in the future.

Scaffolding all over the front of hotel and we hadn't been warned during booking.Parking not on site, also not advised at booking.Waited for too long to be booked in...seems people buying drinks come before hotel residents. No callback for room service. Left 4 messages that haven't been returned.Toilet in room dirty. This list can still go on...

We visited for a meal and a drink. The bar and restaurant are lovely. Hearing thr people checking in, they have a lot of repeat stays. The staff did a really great job. When one was busy at the bar, another stopped what they were doing to serve.

Stopped for lunch between London and Bristol. Ordered the Caesar salad and fries. Friendly swift service in a nice relaxed environment. Food was delivered quickly and the chicken was delicious. I would have liked a little more variety in the salad - tomato, cucumber, radish etc. lots of green lettuce. But all well done and decent at £24.

Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. However, in the end, they were able to deliver a sort of 'satisfactory' outcome. The 3 Swans wasn't my first choice but where I had eaten before were only offering a very restricted menu. After ordering a large fish and chips, the manager came back and said they had no more left. To keep things simple I changed my order to a smaller portion (see picture)! When it arrived I was dumbfounded! The fish (species unknown) was so small that, in my humble opinion, didn't represent anything like value for money! My substitute meal of gammon and eggs was expensive and OK - but nothing special. At least the menu description stated the gammon weight, so I knew what to expect. Even this was expensive. My second choice would have been the Beef burger however they had run out of those, and unlike most restaurants, the menu didn't state the weight either. To be honest I thought the food was overpriced, over complicated (I have never understood why peas have to be in their own basket, and chips in their own pot), the chair I sat on lacked stuffing in the seat so the frame of the chair cut into the backs of my legs, and there were several times other customers were waiting by the bar for several minutes waiting a staff member to appear. A member of staff told me they weren't busy that evening and they weren't short staffed, so I can only conclude that this was normal level of service! In short, IMHO the service was poor, and the food overpriced.

We really like popping in for a drink, dog friendly and nice atmosphere. Ordered chicken wings (£6.95) and you get 2!!! I asked and said is this right, the waitress said yes there was no mistake! £3.50 for a breaded chicken wing from the freezer to fryer. Insane!

Popped in for a pint while passing. Good selection. Nice interior, more upmarket tea room than pub. Very comfy chairs and great service.

Nice pub. Would not advise sitting in the pub area to eat before lunch. Very noisy to the point we had to ask a staff member to please try not throw the knives and forks around whilst cleaning for service. Sounds trivial but conversation was very difficult. Had a retort of it's my job and needs to be done. Fair enough. Would go back but only to the restaurant.

Lovely place to stay in middle of Hungerford. If you park in the train station car park at the rear you don’t pay £6 overnight parking with a code given on reception. The room clean, fan on as warm which was lovely, bedroom and bathroom clean and cozy. Wifi as working was fine. Downstairs pub menu ok but not great, food delicious though. Restaurant great and Breakfast incredible. All in all great stay and definitely comeback.
