The Elvetham - Country House Hotel & Wedding Venue
It was so nice. You can feel the history .The building is well looked after.Staff are friendly.Our room #213 was spacious, very clean and looked over the vast gardens.We didn't see the whole of the estate so will just have to do another visit for that.I saw that they have a cottage to let out. All the dates I've looked at are booked up but that does look very nice !I was presented with a cake and Birthday message after diner which I appreciated.Thanks Team .

We stayed here for a wedding. Incredible from start to finish. The staff were so lovely. The building was beautiful and clean. Rooms were warm on a cold evening! We attended a wedding here and as a venue the location was amazing, food was well presented and tasty. We ate in the restaurant the night before the wedding and we had breakfast two mornings. Very happy with every meal and with the whole stay.

Barry and the staff our absolutely fabulous! They made us and our dog Brooke feel right at home. The property is stunning, breakfast in the conservatory perfect, great dog friendly environment and lovely walks around the perimeter of the property. For a real treat, try the pizza in the bar. Takes a little while, as I suspect it’s made from scratch but well worth the wait. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay in some of the best hotels around the world and staff her could hold their own with any of them. Only critique, perhaps softer pillows would be nice but I’m a complete bedding snob, so don’t hold this against them. :-) We’ll definitely be back!!

I had a lovely stay here for a friends wedding. My room was one of the stable rooms and was very comfortable & clean, with a new luxurious bathroom, however my friends room, next door, didn't have a nice bathroom, so it looks like they are slowly upgrading.The staff were great, but there wasn't enough of them in the bar area or at breakfast.The grounds and place itself are stunning.Would recommend staying here.

Hotel has the potential to be wonderful but main areas downstairs very cold and unwelcoming.lighting and colour scheme dark. Rooms need to be heated/fires lit.Grounds amazing and lovely.Bar food was not good at all however the evening meal was lovely and very well presented and tasted amazing!Breakfast was wonderful too. Lots of choice and every taste and need catered for!Reception staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a magnificent neo Gothic enormous hotel.Downstairs has many rooms with wonderful paintings and ceilings and a lovely conservatory as a dining room.There is a bit of a walk from the car park , slightly uphill.As elderly guests we found this walk quite difficult whilst carrying luggage so arrived breathless at reception! We were surprised that no assistance was offered to carry our bags up a long flight of stairs.Our room looked nice as we entered but it was dark by the door and there was no warning of a step down. Fortunately I managed to stay upright as I missed the stepThe room : amazing views, comfortable bed, nice towels, good kettle arrangement and mirror and electric points in the right places!BUT - no towel rail in bathroom and nowhere to put towels clean or wet.One tiny glass shelf was the only place to put anything and nowhere to put your toothbrush.In the bedroom there were four small drawers, a dark cupboard you couldn't see in and a ridiculous wardrobe with four hangers ,a safe and an ironing board.The door was hung the wrong way and scraped on the base it was balanced on. The hairdryer and iron were only accessible by six-footers.There was nowhere to put luggage, hang a coat or for shoesBUT : The food was excellent, the staff lovely and we had a good time. The staff did offer to move our room but we refused because we were only there for two nights and had unpacked when the offer came.

The Elvetham is a superb hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We got married there 10 years ago and went back for our anniversary and couldn't of wished for a better experience. From having great afternoon tea and dinner. To a nice selection of drinks in the bar when just wanting to chill and take in the place. It brought back so many great memories. And would highly recommend this venue. Our room was spacious and tidy with great views of the grounds which is perfect for romantic walks around the venue. We was also given a special treat fro. The staff for our anniversary which was a extra special touch to what was a great day and night at the hotel. Thank you elvetham for making our 10. Year anniversary so special.

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon, and we had a lovely time. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the service was good and the meals were very nice. We did have trouble with some pigeons right outside of our window keeping us awake in the early hours of the morning, and we found the breakfast setup a bit bizarre (one morning it was a buffet, the next not, both times with few staff available to help), but otherwise we had a lovely time exploring the grounds and the local area.

We stayed here for just one night. It was excellent.Perfectly decorated for Christmas with a tastefully decorated large Christmas tree which is hugged by the gorgeous grand staircase.All the staff were helpful and delightful. Our room was upgraded which was a lovely surprising seeing as we were there for a birthday treat. We stayed in the main building. The room was huge with a spotless bathroom.We had a 3 course dinner. All the food was lovely and we had cocktails in the cozy bar after. The views from the restaurant when we had breakfast the next day were a bonus.We took a walk around the grounds before check out to take in the view. I just wished I could of stayed here longer. Well done for running a hotel that has so much history and character whilst still being cozy and clean

We stayed here last night as we took ate boys to Lapland. Well what can I say about this hotelOther than amazing. The staff the rooms the breakfast amazing. Very spacious rooms. Lovely views also very Christmassy all ready with several decorations up and trees that make it even more magical of a place to stay. Highly recommended from myself my partner and boys. We are back for when Santa is there. Can’t wait
