They need a tighter grip on this place. A pre ordered reservation wasn't complete on collection even though it was confirmed as so on a call before setting off to pick it up. Resulted in a lengthy journey to another branch who also didn't have full order despite showing so on their stock system. They need to have reservations ready for customers, not rely on the computer and cobbling them together last minute when a customer comes in.

I needed a generator to power all my computers during a power cut and I found the hire process convenient and was assisted in selecting the right tool. Unfortunately for me BT do not provide backup for their equipment so I lost the internet connection. I am giving them 4 star but I have not hired from anyone else in the past so can not compare against the others. I am going back to hire a floor sander today.

Rented a flame thrower to kill weeds. I asked if the has canister at home that I use for the BBQs would fit onto it. Guy at the store said yes. I explained I have never used this before. Got home and it is clearly missing a connection part. There is no email address. The website user working keeps on saying 404 error. I havnt even used it and the only time I can speak with someone about it is Monday morning. I havnt even used it!!!! Frustrated. No manual provided. Lost out on time and money renting aomethjng I cannot use! Can't even notify anyone... ridiculous!

It's when things don't go quite as planned that you can tell if the service is good: this lot did their best to make amends after something went wrong, even when it wasn't entirely their fault.Oh, and their carpet cleaner is way better than the Rug Doctor" thing you can get at some other places

I had a query and spoke to A Extremely Rude David which turned to aggression The manager Stepped infront of Dave to stop Dave and now says Dave would not have hit me he just wouldn’t .As a customer it was definitely aggression,which could have turned to violence if the manager did not step infront of Dave.When I reported to complaints the area manager tried to brush it under the carpet and said Dave was having a bad day, not even reprimandedTo face this behaviour from HSS is unacceptable!Plenty of other hire company’s to choose from without the bad aggressive attitude

Very bad hired a work too jig and router picked up trusted the staff got home opened jig case only to find a completely wrecked jig guide ripped to bits by the router there was no jig guide looked like some one had tryed to use free handThey had no replacement lost most of that day to running around had to wait till next day to hire one from speedy hire there's was great

Great service, friendly and knowledgable. Hired a wall sander to remove some paint - didn’t quite work as expected so they gave me a full refund and offered for it to be returned to my nearest branch.
