Nick's Fishing Trips

Slightly overcast day in Lyme so went on Nicks fishing charter for the morning. So glad we did, Matt our Skipper was fantastic and helped us all the way, even though I’d never thrown a line in the water. Matt even explained how we could smoke the mackerel we caught.

Nick’s Fishing Trip was the highlight of our weekend in Lyme Regis.Nick is an interesting, charismatic guy who is happy to share his extensive knowledge of Lyme Regis and the surrounding areas. Whether you want to quietly relax and enjoy the scenery, enjoy a spot of fishing or make the most out of Nick’s knowledge (like we did), I couldn’t recommend this boat trip highly enough.The boat is not the typical large commercial type, its quaint style adds to the experience and we felt very safe throughout. Nick is from a long line of sailors and was born and bread in Lyme Regis, this just adds to the authentic, memorable and wonderful experience.We will definitely be back!

We booked a 3-hour deep sea fishing trip with Nick and had a blast.Nick was very helpful and pleasant to deal with in setting up the trip, and our captain Matt was brilliant on the day - patient, knowledgeable, fun, and great with the kids too.We caught some whiting, mackerel and bream to take home and eat, plus some conger eels which went back into the water. We'd love to do it again in the future!

Honestly one of the most enjoyable and memorable things I've done with my little boy (my 6 year old caught a conger eel taller than he was!). Nick was a great skipper, took us to several good spots and hosted a Dad's and their Lads" fishing trip for 9 of us. Very children friendly. Very supportive and encouraging even with novices. I'd highly recommend this to any family looking for an experience they're not going to forget in a hurry."

Brilliant day out with Nick’s Fishing Trips yesterday. Nick provided a great service from start to finish and Matt who was our skipper for the trip was fantastic. Would highly recommend anyone looking to do a fishing trip in Dorset. Will be going again!

Such an amazing trip! We did a two hour private charter as an extended family and had the best time. We are complete novices in regards to fishing but Matt was an amazing host and gave us an experience which was the highlight of the holiday. Even my teenage daughter got involved eventually and caught the biggest fish! The icing on the cake was eating our catch later that evening on a BBQ. Thank you, we will definitely return.
