HOVE WOOD BURNERS

This is a difficult review to write, because despite a rocky showroom experience with the person being quite uninterested and knowing very little about the woodburners or their installation; we were impressed with the price, the great information card, and more importantly, very excited that we could buy a showroom model and get it installed before Christmas.After reserving our model, we were told to message Andy to arrange installation. Whilst appreciating how busy he must be, 3 weeks have gone by and we have called, emailed and messaged and we have had no response.The person in the showroom who we have also called has been unhelpful and simply says keep trying Andy. Today, we learn the model we had reserved is no longer in the showroom and one will need to be ordered, but they have not had time, because it is chaotic here". So we have reluctantly decided to buy elsewhere. There is a review on here from 4 years ago

Despite phoning the landline several times, phoning the mobile several times, texting the mobile, emailing, going to the showroom on two occasions and leaving messages and leaving a handwritten letter containing all the information with the guy there,,,, despite all of these efforts, made repeatedly, over several months, I have had no response from Andy or anyone. I took the showroom guys advice a fortnight ago to buy the stove myself online and they would then fit it - now I have the stove but no one ever got back in touch about installation. I’ll find someone else. It has been the most weird experience I have ever had trying to give someone work/money and literally been ignored over and over again. So sadly, I feel it important to note it here so that others don’t waste ridiculous amounts of time like I have. Anyone know any good stove installers?!

Personally I'd avoid this set up. A very brash owner. Promises the world, and sings a good song. However when it comes to paying the piper he fails. No installation time, and had to order our own burner? Seems a very strange setup for a business that's meant to be selling them?When he finally answers, it's just excuses. He's busy, it's a busy time of year, other people have let him down, he's having problems with stock and deliveries?Just something doesn't seem to sit right with this guy & business. A few others around id try shopping around and compare.

Great service! Andy couldn't do enough for us. Very professional with an extensive knowledge of wood burners and their installation. Very thorough with paperwork: HETAS certificates etc. Neat worker and reliable. 5 stars!

Andy gave us some good ideas about what fire would suit our fire place. Good knowledge. Good price and quick service. Would highly recommend. Andy just been back to fit the beam over the fire another great job

I was really impressed with my experience with Hove Wood Burners, Andy arrived on time and fitted a new 5KW Ecosy+ Panoramic eco/defra into our existing hearth. The installation is so neat and the stove works a treat, I have used it for a week now and I am so pleased with its performance!

Andy did an excellent job. He guided us on what to buy, cleared and smartened up the existing fireplace and installed the burner. He also fitted some caps to our unused chimney flues. Very knowledgeable, approachable and fairly priced. Highly recommend.

Superb service. The best place to come for your wood burner without a doubt. A great selection and fantastic personal service. Thoughtful and understanding about my needs. Fast installation. My home was well protected during the installation and was left clean and tidy after the work was completed. I feel I had a quality service throughout and excellent value. Loving the new wood burner...even learnt how to build a fire! The process has been straightforward and advice and third party contractors recommended by Andy have been great. I love the wood burner design and waiting until the fireplace was excavated was good advice so it suits the dimensions of the space. Thank you Andy.

Andy Genovese was excellent from start to finish. He made what I thought would be quite a complicated job look incredibly easy. It's was pleasure to meet him and to watch him work. Quality workmanship. No problem seem to faze him. He also gave great advice and has an amazing selection of really decent wood burners to choose from.
