Truly 5* company who have been our water provider for nearly 40 years. Their customer services have always been fast to answer, polite and outstandingly helpful. The engineers who have attended our home and also at my place of work have been fast to attend, thorough, got the job done and always polite. A really exemplary company.

Disgrace of a company!! George Taylor, Director of wastewater what are you doing about the constant sewage dumping into Boscombe Pier & Hengistbury head?! Just recovered from an ear infection caused by the pollution. Closed Boscombe Pier again 27/7/21!

A 8pm on a Saturday night our water and neighbours was backed up. We spoke with an customer service agent who raised the case, she was understanding, friendly and really helpful. Within 40 minutes I received a call letting me know they would be at the house in 20 minutes. The guy who arrived to help was quick and efficient, he answered our questions, was covid safe and let us watch what he was doing. I cannot explain how reassuring it was to have a quick result.I would highly recommend for the service we received!

Have had a great service from Wessex Water - we had a large water bill and when I spoke to them, they sent engineers out to fix a leak and did not charge us for the extra water used. I have since contacted them for billing help and they are always very useful.

Called in to change direct debit details, call was answered in less than a second and the lady was uber helpful in getting it sorted. Top level of customer service, unlike most companies one has to call these days! Keep up the good work!

I am the new owner of a flat in Shaftesbury. I'm not familiar with the area or the workings of water meters but when I rang Wessex Water, they were so helpful. I wish I had remembered the name of the lady I spoke to initially and the same with the man I spoke to today (terrible memory! but maybe their telephone recordings will shed some light) but they were both very helpful. My query was put in the hands of an Engineer by the name of Colin who kept in touch with me and informed me all the way along, and it was all sorted out in what I would call a very personable, old fashioned way. So thank you Wessex Water and a very big thank you to Colin.

The water companies have had it too easy for too long and the government has been relaxing the rules. Only public pressure will force them to prioritise the health of their own customers. Our own MPs, and the government, are letting them off the hook. Environment Agency summary reveal the target for all 3,651 water bodies to achieve ‘good chemical and ecological status’ – a state in which they are as close to their natural state as possible – is now decades away in 2063. A legal right to access environmental information, which activists and researchers have used to uncover the unlawful release of raw sewage into UK rivers, could be lost as part of the UK’s legal disentangling from the European Union by the end of this year. Without these Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs), it could be much harder to hold water firms and government bodies to account. It's time the water companies took responsibility for their actions and stopped destroying UK waterways. And, it’s time the MPs and our government stopped protecting the water companies.
