The Angel
I loved it. Of course it's humbling as well to be able to have a bite and a drink at an establishment that has been in operation for centuries. The fish and chips and a number of the starters were as good as anywhere I've been. The staff is very friendly and helpful, which is tough in places that are as busy as this place is. If you are in the area you should stop by, you won't regret it. Highly recommended.

The Angel
Brilliant location right on the river, it's a great place to be on a bitterly cold Saturday afternoon in November. A real fire is a winner when the weather is cold and the Angel has one. With lots of windows, this pub is bright and welcoming on a sunny afternoon. The original features, cast iron column, open fire and a 'snug' for a more intimate space all add to the laid back atmosphere. The decor includes historical photos of the area which are well worth a look.The food and drink menu (mulled wine in winter) is good and they also offer some cocktails. We had a couple of pints and shared a cheese plate and they were good value. Nice, chatty staff that know their beers gave us a smiling welcome.The toilets were in good order and well stocked and clean.We will definitely plan a walk of the Southbank taking in the Angel again next summer. A return visit is a must.

This is one of the cutest pubs with such a nice view. In the winter, sitting upstairs is lovely. I am definitely coming back to try the food!

This pub must have one of the best views in London. Drinks are standard Sam Smith range, at usual cheap prices, but well worth going for the amazing view.

The Angel
Probably one of the best views from a pub towards some of Londons most famous landmarks. From a small but nice outside veranda you can quench your thirst while gazing up the Thames towards Tower Bridge, the Shard, city of London skyscrapers and St Pauls. Very nice pub with some history to it, the guy who served us was great and showed us around to tell stories about the old photos on the walls. One of the greatest pubs on the Thames south of the tourist hotspots of London.

An absolute corker of a pub with the most fantastic layout, delicious food, great beer and people working there are wonderful. The Landlady chatted with us as if we'd known each other for ages.A real gem of a place on the south bank of the Thames which is oh so worth a visit.

This is a very nice pub, with amazing views over the river. Although you have to wait a while until the food arrives, it is excellent especially the Sunday roast. They also have very kind and caring staff, who are very helpful!

Great pub with wonderful views over river Thames.Good selection of local ciders.Nice interior decor and outdoor space.Didn't have chance to find any food, so unfortunately can't comment on that.
