As a tenant who moved into a Homes Lettings property 4 months ago, I would say that they are friendly, very straightforward and respond quickly to requests for maintenance. The only small downside is that I would prefer that they used the government deposit scheme. I hope that the alternative scheme they use works well but we will only find out when we leave! Having rented properties for some years I am really impressed with our experience so far.

Homes lettings have been brilliant, we were tenants with them from 2010-2023. They are always very friendly and helpful. If there were ever any issues with the property they would make sure to keep you updated on works being completed and when.We will miss being in contact with them since we have moved awayAll in all, a great family run letting agent, everything you could ask for.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.We had issues with Home Lettings Limited right from the start. When we first moved in to our apartment, both our rubbish and recycling bins were overflowing with black bin bags filled with rubbish. We contacted them about this and their response was ‘It will be expensive for us to get someone to pick it up, please deal with it yourselves’. I ended up having to wait in the lounge the entire morning of rubbish collection day waiting to run outside and explain the situation so the recycling bin would be emptied. For the first week we had no way of disposing of rubbish or recycling outside and, as you can imagine, when moving houses we had a lot.Additionally, the apartment was “furnished”, yet an armchair in the living room had only three legs which obviously made it completely useless, we contacted them about this and again they told us to deal with it ourselves. We had to take their broken furniture to the tip at our expense.After a few weeks of experiencing issues with neighbours constantly smoking in our shared corridor, we contacted Homes Lettings asking for the contact details for building management and were told to ‘ask the neighbours as we don’t know’. Once again putting the burden on us because of their own negligence and apathy.During our tenancy they arranged an apartment inspection, due to take place on a Saturday between 9am and 3pm. We waited in our apartment all day, only for no one to show up and no contact having be made to inform us of such, meaning we lost out on an entire Saturday which could have been enjoyed doing things we wanted and needed to do.I could say a lot more but the above should speak for itself. At the end of our tenancy we had issues regarding the full return of our deposit (again, due to lack of communication on their part). When we expressed how we had put up with all these issues (and the many others we had during our tenancy) yet never gave them any issues (we kept the apartment clean and in good repair, were good neighbours, never missed or were late on a rent payment, performed duties which should have been theirs to perform, etc) and therefore felt we at least deserved our deposit returned in full, not once did they apologise, acknowledge the unpleasant experience we had, or take any responsibility.If you want to feel respected and at ease in a place you’re throwing away money each month to live in with no long-term benefit to yourself, don’t rent from this agency.

We have used homes letting ltd in Coventry since 2007. They have fully managed all aspects of the contract from start. This included finding a tenant, reference checks, tenancy agreement, inventory preparation, collection of rent, payment to us, All their documentation are very transparent. We can only recommend them so highly and are very pleased to have used such a professional company. Their knowledge, after care and always willing to assist is highly commendable. Our property is now sold and we will miss their professional service.

***Updated at the end of a near three-year tenancy***My experience with Homes Lettings was superb from start to finish. Over the three years, I had two minor maintenance issues that were sorted right away and there was reat flexibility when it came to my end date.First class service from Homes Lettings. I was looking for a flat to rent and those I was shown were so far above what other agents were happy to rent out. They take pride in the properties they manage. The application was seemless, the staff friendly and the flat spotlessly clean when I moved in.

during the wind, the fence that blocked my exit from the house fell over, I called the agency twice but they did nothing, I had to move it myself to be able to leave the house and of course they didn't even come to clean it up it lay like that until I moved out, I got the house in the wrong place the condition required refreshing, I needed to find something quickly, so in desperation I suggested that I could repaint the walls myself, they were delighted when I asked what color the old man said it didn't matter if it was nice, when leaving the house they said that he would not give me the deposit until he repaints white or magnolias and I couldn't talk to the older gentleman who arranged the painting with me because he was in the hospital .., it's good that I took pictures when I moved in because they wanted to attribute the damaged carpet to me, by the way, I immediately said that it had to be replaced because it was old and rotten. and besides, they wanted to assign me some old electricity bill that did not belong to me .. luckily I had all the letters and I managed to defend myself. after finishing 1 contract I left home, the worst half a year in my life I do not recommend!
