Great service… good selection of plants available …

Used this store for many years and it has always had everything you could ever need it's like a D.I.Y mecca, I know some places are cheaper but none are as hassle free or convenient as this store for me, some things are a bit hefty in price but that's why we have the internet :) Overall great store that has everything. Good staff and good parking but don't EVER go on a Saturday you can easy get trapped in this car park for 20 minutes if it's busy, designed by the Chuckle Brothers I think, someone is laughing somewhere, if you have to go on a Saturday' go early and if you get there before 11am you can get a McDonalds breakfast from the drive through on the way home and no one will ever know ;)

Visited to exchange a faulty item.Failed to break up a 3 person staff gossip session as my “excuse me” was blatantly ignored. Managed to get the the product exchanged but had to find it myself as again the staff were to busy talking about a fork lift course than help me find the product.

Diane Wilkinson @B&Q Stockton HAS BEEN AMAZING. She took care of the design, planning, editing of my kitchen. I couldn’t be present in store much, as this is an investment property and I’m located somewhere else in England but she always advised and helped with great response and support both via email or phone. She helped over and beyond with delivery, returns and even some hiccups that were not her duty. Truly a great professional. I have to say also all the rest of the stuff that answered to the phone when I needed advises to buy more things, they have been always helpful. I highly advise to shop in here. Again, thanks to Diane W. for handling everything so well from the first estimates till the extra things at the end, months later. Anyway, choice in this store is great too. They always run some types of offers.

Called the store to check availability of an item, they informed me there was stock. I made the 1 hour journey to the store and then waited for an hour whilst they looked for the items. They never found them. I made a complaint to customer services and received a call saying they had now found the item and that I should order online and they would refund the delivery cost. Great. However, the item was not available for home delivery when trying to order!! So I emailed customer care…again!! Their reply, someone must have purchased all 81 items in stick before I attempted to purchase and thanks for the feedback. B&Q customer service is non existent, if you visit the store and your product is in stock, great. If you have a problem I wouldn’t even bother with an email. Waste of time. Shocking customer service.

I have been to better B&Q sites, for the instance the garden furniture display is mostly packed in boxes and not on display. Also items like fencing posts are a big distance from fencing spikes, they should be together making it easier for customers.Lots of domestic household goods on display are dusty and look un loved, generally not good.

Delivery was fine and as expected. Got a phone call 15mins before arrival etc. What i don't understand is why i also received a phone call at 7.30am by some middle aged cackling woman who clearly found it amusing that she'd called while i was still in bed? Odd to say the least
