Ceremonies with Rachael

Rachael has been more than a celebrant for us. She was approachable and professional from the start. The list of questions she sent at the beginning to get to know us a bit more were very cleverly written and thought provoking that they actually helped us to start writing our vows, which she later on helped to 'smooth out'. Finally, Rachael managed to summarise all of this into an incredibly moving ceremony with equal amounts of tears and laughter.

We were lucky enough to have Rachael as our wedding celebrant last weekend. From the moment we booked her to the big day itself she was absolutely wonderful with us. I grew up in Scotland so I am familiar with Humanist ceremonies and how much more personal and special they feel - and this is exactly what Rachael created for us and our guests. Her demeanour is so calming and kind, you can tell she truly cares about her role. Many of our guests had never witnessed a Humanist ceremony before and were instantly complimentary about how unique and heart-warming it was and that they want one now too!! This being said - I'd book Rachael asap before all of our guests do!

Rachael was the perfect celebrant for our humanist ceremony. She was completely on board with our rather short time frame and wasn’t phased that we were trying to plan a wedding in about 7 weeks!She still took the time to get to know our story and put together the perfect script that combined both personal touches and some laughs for our friends and families.After the ceremony everyone commented on how personal the ceremony was and how they think all weddings should reflect the couple as ours did.Rachael was always so easy to talk to and made the process of planning the ceremony enjoyable and stress free.We had the perfect day and a huge part of that was our ceremony thanks to Rachael.

Rachael made us, and all our guests, feel so at ease throughout the whole ceremony! Our guests kept saying they felt as if she’s known us our whole lives! Rachael was the celebrant at our wedding in York in September 2022. It was the polar opposite of a copy and paste registrar-led ceremony - Rachael took the time to truly get to know us as a couple and crafted a bespoke ceremony which felt personal, unique, and a genuine reflection of our personalities. One of our guests told me that our ceremony made her more emotional than her own wedding had!It's clear that Rachael really cares about her craft, and I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

We chose Rachael as our celebrant just a few weeks before our wedding. In that short time she somehow researched all things Persian fusion, and created the most wonderful wedding script - even finding the bar where we had our first date when we couldn't remember the name! Her enthusiasm for us and our respective cultural traditions was so contagious, and we had lots of compliments on how clearly she spoke and how well our ceremony reflected us. She wasn't remotely fazed when we decided that the groom would be blindfolded throughout the rehearsal, and was brilliant at putting everyone at ease. Would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

We came across Rachael after doing a frantic Google search (our original celebrant had to cancel with two days' notice), I shouldn't have worried – Rachael was very calming whilst I was in a flap. We only had the wedding vows/verses to read but Rachael made it much more personal by adding a wedding/love poem and adding extra wording to the vows. Rachael was professional, eloquent, relaxed and poised and made the groom and groomsmen very relaxed as they waited for the bride. To say this was at such short notice Rachael went above and beyond and made the whole service go seamlessly. I would highly recommend Rachael to any of my friends and family.

Rachael is an amazing celebrant. She made our ceremony so personal with sweet, emotional and hilarious moments all included. We had so many compliments on how unique our ceremony was to us from our guests and that’s because Rachael really took the time to get to know us as a couple and our relationship so that she could portray it perfectly. Rachael was an amazing celebrant; she created a ceremony that we absolutely loved, incorporating all the elements we hoped we'd be able to include. From our first chat with her, she was incredibly warm and easy to talk to.
