Good initial customer service and experience, free courtesy car, good value overall. Unfortunately have done a bad job cleaning the car and it is covered in swirl marks, which is very disappointing. Called to report and as expected was told the car must have been like it before (it definitely wasn’t). Car completely covered in scratches, so now I will have to polish the whole car myself before selling. Very annoying and not the review I wanted to leave as the majority of my experience was good.

Took my car to one garage to have the aircon regassed as it had stopped blowing cold, received the car back with a hissing sound with the AC on and it blew warm after 1 day. Got told condenser had a hole in it. Took it to another garage for a second opinion, got told they also suspected a leak and it must be a pipe leaking behind the dash and they don't want to do the repairs. Finally took my car to Wills and Ellis and they serviced my aircon. It now blows as cold as the arctic, no hisses, no leak repairs, no lying incompetent mechanics, just QUALITY. Don't bother taking your car to anyone else for aircon work, they're all useless. Go to WILLS AND ELLIS!

I'm normally too lazy to leave reviews but I feel I must in this case. My car clutch started to fail on the way from Wales to my parent in York. We made it but this effectively stranded us in York with no way of getting the family plus gear back to the south of England. We could not find another garage to book us in within a week but then asked one of them if they could recommend somewhere. They recommended Wills and Ellis (who I didnt know were still around after leaving their boroughbridge Road site) who took the car in on Monday saying they would try to do it by Friday. By Wednesday morning they called to say they had done it. The receptionist when we booked it in was very courteous and clear what the costs might be and as it happened the cost in the end was the lowest he had quoted.Pick up was similar and Carly was equally cheerful and helpful (as were her beautiful Labradors!).Thanks Wills and Ellis for a great experience saving my family's bacon by getting the car back on the road!

Booked my vehicle for MOT and took it in. Greeted with a smile and great atmosphere. Left vehicle. Received message that it passed MOT, which was brilliant. Picked up and jokingly said 'Not washed car?'.Great customer service. Thanks everyone.

UPDATEtook to kwick fit this morning, they have bled everything correctly and my brakes are like brand new, no soft squishy peddle- after all the times this garage has done jt they clearly arnt able to do things correctly.No charge either as they had seen all the work invoices from this garage and couldn’t understand after 3 bleeds in one day how I still had issuesHad new starter motor that seems fine.Came to have pads and discs done, after this ended up with no breaks at all. Nearly came of the edge of a cliff with my daughter in the car.Took it back to which they did the brake fluid flush 3/4 times. It seemed to fix it- FOR A DAY!Again brought the car back to which they said it much be the calliper.They changed the calliper to which my breaks where still very insensitive. Spongey and soft. Then Absolutely nothing again. Driving my daughter to school left with no breaks at all.I will be taking this to the small claims court, as well as trading standards. They have left me numerous times with no breaks whilst driving with my daughter in the car.It’s disgusting l, life threatening. Disgraceful businessThe car was not driven at all. So the 400 miles is a mile as ive been in my partners car. Why would i pay for further investigations when that was what should have been done prior to the calliper being fitted. The car was safe to drive as it no longer happened (hence when i rang and said id not had the issue as id not driven it in weeks) then began to happen the day i was bringing it back in. Please tell me why id be insuring my partners car for no reason as i have all the documents off this. I stated i had no symptoms on the car to show it being the calliper. And if the calliper was faulty was wasnt this changed on the pad and disc change.You stated on the test drive it wasnt as it should be. I have it recorded.Not to forget i have cctv at my mothers home to show the car was left there.It is currently in a different garage undergoing investigation as since ive had it with your selves several times and the same issue keeps arising. Your clearly not solving the issue that the car came into the garage for. Your left me with brakes that where not functioning and where working befor you touched them.You also where adamant it was the calliper. I have the recordings like stated. You said you did investigations, and the woman who rang stated it was definitely the calliper so please listen to your phone calls and staffs.I did also leave you a voice mail the moment i got home that Friday night. To which you didnt respond.

Writing another review as these guys and gals are so good. Sorted out my first car with a new exhaust and other things for an affordable price while also giving me great advice each visit.Always patient with me and my terrible tyre inflating ability. Always will go here for any car needs.

Ive been using wills and ellis now for the past 10 years or so and taken my last 4 cars there. Never had a single issue with them. They are professional, incredibly friendly and very trust worthy. Full marks from me guys!
