Fabulous cafe and bakery. They serve sandwiches with the bread from their own bakery and homemade cakes. On the last day of our holiday we bought some bread to take home.

The Flour Pot Bakery First Avenue is a great place to go for a delicious pastry and a friendly cup of coffee. The staff are always welcoming and helpful, and they really know their stuff when it comes to pastries. I've tried a few different things on the menu, and everything I've had has been amazing. The croissants are flaky and buttery, the muffins are moist and flavorful, and the cakes are decadent and delicious.I especially love the Flour Pot's selection of vegan. They have a great selection of options for everyone, and they're always accommodating to dietary restrictions.

Good coffee and many assortment of pastries and bread. No fry up here. We dropped in on a Saturday morning, got crowded quickly with local joggers. Must try the sausage rolls. Reasonable price.

I visited here a couple of times during a break from London last weekend. The coffee was lovely, but asides from one of the guys on the coffee machine, the staff were unfriendly and seemed pretty miserable. The food was okay.

Popped in here for a coffee and cake and got exactly what we wanted, but be prepared to pay top dollar, two coffees £6, two bits of cake £7, obviously the location dictates that they can charge this and the cafe was pretty full so obviously it was just me being tight, but I must say both cakes were delicious and the coffee good, so pop in here and try it out

Popped in for a drink - I had a peach iced tea and my partner had iced coffee. The drinks were really tasty and they have a wide range of breads and cakes - unfortunately did not have time to try any of these although they did have vegan options! I did not use the facilities so cannot comment on them. The drinks came quickly although we did get ignored when we first came to the till to order. Would visit again because I would like to try the cakes!

Lovely people, but the pain au chocolat even first thing in the morning is so tough, it was not enjoyable.This was the second time we got one from them, thinking the first was just a bad day in the bakery, but unfortunately it's the same again.

Like others have said, on more than one occasion in my experience they are incredibly slow to give me my takeaway coffee and/or sandwich. Ive waited 20 minutes on separate occasions and one time they didn't register my coffee order so I spent that time waiting for nothing and had to wait extra to get it made up. The staff are lovely most of the time but they really need to work out a faster way of doing things. Food and coffee is superb though when you finally get it.

Good spot for breakfast or afternoon tea, was impressed by the large selection of vegan options. Nice atmosphere and bright cafe. Was a little on the expensive side, and the staff got a bit confused with our orders so took a bit longer than expected.

I came here for the Carrot Cake because another costumer wrote they had the Best Carrot Cake and Thats right. I will Come here every Day while I m in brighton. Nice place also. To sit inside or outside. Always many People inside. Like it.
