Popham Airfield

Always good to go to for an event. £10 entry fee isn't cheap but isn't the end of the world either.Mega Motorbike meet worth a walk around if you're into your bikes. Definitely worth attending if you have an old bike and/or after some parts.

I went with my brother in his plane, it was my first time on this airfield and loved it. Would definitely recommend it! Its a shame due to lockdown we had limitations and cafe was shut but still had fun. Plus point weather was lovely too... so guys if you love flying then popham airfield is definitely a good recommendation.

We came here for coffee/tea on a Saturday afternoon in October and were not disappointed!It's a very lively place (lots of people + landing/taking off aircraft!) that is extremely well looked after (grass, benches, toilets, ... all in top condition!), and the sitting area is really close to the runway - we had an amazing view in the middle of all the action!

Amazingly friendly place, with all sorts of aerial sports, even drone flying lessons! Great welcoming feeling and one can tell they love flying and all things aeronautical and they want that passion to be contagious.Nice café where to get some food and drinks whilst people wait for their loved ones to do their lesson. Also great as a meeting place to enjoy the viewing area, taking all the action in. Light aircraft, microlights and even gyrocopters!

Well worth a visit with a lovely cafe and friendly staff.A very popular general aviation location given it’s proximity to London a must visit location if your a keen aviation photographer or even just looking for somewhere to take the gran children.The site has ample parking and even boasts a caravan club site.

A great airfield to fly from, Airborne Aviation offering a fantastic one hour experience flight. The adjoining Cafe is lovely too, with Lavazza coffee

Really friendly airfield witj good views of all active areas. Great cafe with affordable food andcdrinks.

We love Popham and have visited 3 times in our motorhome this year.The 5 Caravan and Motorhome Club pitches are very well spaced, grass is kept very short and the elsan, grey water and fresh water points are very clean.There is plenty of wildlife in the area and the pitches back onto a copse. You also have a good view of the runway from the pitches; watching the planes and gyrocoptors coming and going is very interesting.The cafe serves perfectly cooked food and it's great to sit outside on the benches next to the runway.Popham is a very friendly place and we were lucky enough to have a tour of the hangers with the Airfield Manager during our most recent stay which was really enjoyable.We are already looking forward to our next visit.
