Victoria Park West Lake

The lake is in the west side of the park. It has water fountains and many birds. The cafe next to the lake seems quite busy.there are some chestnut trees around the lake. In autumn, you can easily pick up some chestnuts on the ground.Many people bring some bread or bird food to feed the ducks and other birds.

Victoria Park Lake is one of the main attractions of this spectacular urban park! The majestic silver-lining water with waterjet fountain sparkling in the glorious sunshine ☀ works as a magnet for visitors!It has small islands with plenty of wildlife to explore! This is mainly now a boating lake - two different types of boats - Dinghy & Peddal Boats provided by Regal Boat Hire! You can go very close to the islands, bridges and Chinese Pagoda! It gives a completely different perspective from the water. There is a very useful information board with pictures displaying the type of birds are likely to be found at the lake. It is very useful for children identifying the birds, ducks and swans - learning about the nature & wildlife in a fun treasure hunting way!The Lake is teeming with birds, ducks and swans! While Boating you may come across other wildlife animals too!There are two sculptures standing tall on the bank of the Lake - Bird & Skyscrapers - created by artist Ernö Bartha and it was commissioned by Romanian Cultural Institute as part of the 2012 Summer Olympics!In one of the corners, Pavilion Cafe and Pavilion Toilets are located. Pavilion Cafe has outdoor seating overlooking the Victoria Park Lake and its' outstanding natural beauty!There are plenty of benches and green spaces surrounding the lake providing wealth of green space for having a picnic, basking in the sun or having a seat down or reading a book and many more leisurely activities with all your family or just yourself!The Victoria Park itself is an attractive place for a picnic, day out, leisurely stroll, exploring the diverse range of trees, flowers, & wildlife!
