Stayed last night in room 713 with my wife, service/staff/decor etc were all brilliant. However, I was kept awake from 1am to 7am due to loud music (1am-3:50am), the thermostat in the bedroom emits a very piercing green light which also kept me awake, we had to put towels under the door to cancel out the light being emmited in to our room. When I got up to visit the bathroom and switched on the light, every light in the room turned on, then off, then on again whilst I tried to not wake my wife. We found out this morning to operate the 'bathroom light only' you have to press both 'bedroom' & 'bathroom' switch simultaneously, why?, no idea. A little notice near the switches would have helped. Tried to contact reception during the night using the room phone but every number pressed resulted in static noise. We paid £30 on arrival for a full Irish breakfast, which we were both very excited to try, however due to tiredness we had 2 coffee's then left. I did not want to write a slightly negative review, however this is how we feel. We will definitely be back in Belfast but yet to decide whether or not to be back with The Maldron.

Fabulous hotel. Staff amazing, always friendly and helpful. Hotel was lovely and clean. The festive decor looked great too. Great location for Belfast city break, close to bus station and some amazing bars. Really quiet at night given its proximity to some fab lively bars.

Staff lovely and friendly and very helpful with trip bookings and directions. Was a little dismayed our room was not cleaned over the 3 nights we stayed. The towels were changed and the bins emptied. The beds were re madeAfter my partner complained to housekeeping. Overall a good stay and we would return

The room was fine for the price. It seemed clean, and it was quiet. The air conditioning worked well. There was a good view from the window. The cleaning staff was always friendly and greeted me in the hallway. I went to have lunch at the restaurant one day at 1200, there was no one else there so I asked the waiter/bar tender if lunch was being served. He said yes and sat me down and told me where the lunch menu was in the menu. He came back a couple of minutes later and told me that the chef wouldn’t make me anything because a bus was coming of 60 people. A thought would be not to advertise you are open for lunch and then refuse service to someone, perhaps put up a sign that lunch wasn’t being served that day. Also noted a strong smell in hallways of cooking.

Top location. In walking distance of all major attractions.Great rooms, only complaint is the pressure of the main shower head. However, if you angle the secondary shower head it works just as well. Very comfy bed with air conditioned rooms and tea and coffee facilities along with a fridge....Overall an excellent stay!

Food was fabulous and staff were very nice but the room we stayed in was old the bed clothes were stained and the bathroom door was actually all cracked and pealed all at the bottom as if eroded away and the dust that gathered on the skirting boards was actually disgusting I had a baby with me and had to clean the skirting board myself as they were so dirty and fluffy looking almost I didn't want th baby touching it when crawling around. Otherwise couldn't fault anything else.

This is a lovely well situated hotel in belfast. The staff were very friendly when you got to talk to them. I rang to tell them I’d be checking in late and I was on hold for 17minutes till I eventually hung up and rang back. When we eventually found the car park that we were given the wrong name of and wrong postcode of there was no one at reception. Apart for that the hotel was clean, breakfast was fantastic, meal was lovely and over all very good.

The hotel is excellent with very professional staff, the rooms were very clean. All three lifts were in operation which meant that there was no waiting for one. Bar area and the staff were very professional although the prices for drinks were quite expensive. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety, cooked or cereal, if you wanted fried eggs then just ask one of the waitresses who will get them cooked fresh for you and will bring them to your table. The location of the hotel is perfect for bars and restaurants, you never had to go far to a bar or just do some retail therapy. We really enjoyed our time in probably the most famous pub in the area which is right across the way from the hotel, here you will find Irish music every night with wonderful people who are very friendly and welcoming. The pub is called Fibber Magee.
