Headgate Theatre
A small and intimate Venue. The seating is tiered and slightly offset to provide a really good experience. Very good lavatories and bar. The staff are very friendly and cheerful.

Headgate Theatre
We performed our show ('The Paul Simon Story') at the Headgate Theatre last night - what a pleasure that was! Such an intimate little theatre with perfect acoustics, a great sound system and a comprehensive lighting rig. Even the dressing room was air-conditioned! The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful so the evening went very smoothly indeed. Very highly recommended whether you're a performer or a member of the audience!

Such a wonderful theatre. I had the honour of performing on stage. Great staff, fantastic dressing room with screen showing the auditorium and a fantastic atmosphere and acoustics. Looking forward to performing here again sometime.

Headgate Theatre
Went to watch a pantomime, first time we've ever been and it was an amazing night. From the moment we stepped inside all the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the theatre itself is so cosy and the production was very professionally done, with great audience participation which can only be achieved with a theatre of this size and a great pantomime dame. Will definitely vist again.

Headgate Theatre
Headgate Theatre is probably Colchester's best kept secret, which everyone should visit. There's a wide range of first class plays, musicals and gigs to suit all tastes. There are also many other activities for people young and old to participate in. Act V takes place on a Monday morning and is the perfect way to start the week. It's mainly for the over 50's and a wide range of brilliant activities are presented by a great variety of facilitators. Check out the website and give the Headgate a look, you won't be disappointed!

A lovely local theatre with a wide range of productions. Plenty of opportunities to get involved with acting as well, including weekly drama group for young people.

A superb little gem. It's been a great night (out of the ordinary), at a very reasonable price, whenever we've been. Forza to the casts that make it home and bring it to life.

Great little theatre, always enjoy a visit. Tonight's sound could have been better, some technical difficulties, but still a great gig. Definitely would book PretenCC tickets again.
