What a cracking place to fish. Just yesterday I was there had 22 outstanding fish been to quite a few fisheries but this place beats them all very reasonable price.set in the most gorgeous setting of the picturesque Cheshire countryside on the edge of the Derbyshire peak district.just 20mins west of Buxton,Head out on the A54 to the tiny village of Winkle,Roger Davies,Nottingham,HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

My husband and I went for a walk yesterday and we came across this. We walked down the steps as it was very inviting welcoming signs. We were going to buy a couple of fish but first all went to have a look at the little fishing area, designed for families enabling them to have a go at catching a fish. It was really cool but suddenly a man shouted ‘Oy’ at us and told us off in a very arrogant manner. He was really horrible and started ranting on about health and safety. There were no signs saying not to go where they were fishing. He had a disgraceful attitude so we walked away. There was absolutely no way we were going to buy anything off this man after he spoke to us the way he did.

Great for pros and amateurs with their own separate areas to fish. The kids enjoy it too

Couldn't fault any aspect of my day spent at Danebridge. Purchased s two fish ticket, caught both of them within an hour on a small black buzzer, and a Hares ear fly.The owner was very welcoming and in conversation offered lots of valuable advice in relation to effective fly's and techniques, and the balif offered suggestion about the best spots on the lake

Took our three year old daughter here at the weekend. Its a great day out. Lorne, who runs it is incredibly helpful. A fantastic way to introduce children to fishing and to give them an idea of where food comes from. We will definitely be visiting again.

Nice little fishery. Had a smashing day catching 12 off the top despite the snow and hail at times. Ideal fishing for beginners as the main bank is not hindered but trees etc so casting very easy.

Excellent introduction to fishing for 10 year old. Website is a bit out of date (£3 per fish now) but spent a great hour or so and came away with 5 decent trout. Staff helpful.

Went today with my partner to look at the lake in order to fish it mid week. What looked like a fisherman in a silver estate car on the car park told us that the owner doesn't like people looking at the lake, so we left non the wiser.

A great place to fish, friendly and welcoming owner. Well stocked with lots of trout. I returned this beautiful Spartic Trout as shown in picture 3, it put up a great fight. A great day out!

A great day’s fishing set in an idyllic setting. The owner is really friendly and I had a good chat with him. I also met some great fisherman who were more than happy to pass on advice. They also had me laughing at times with some of their stories. All round I’d highly recommend it. Great fishing with some superb looking fish who put up a nice little fight.
