Beautiful location, lovley building and comfortable beds. The dinner and breakfast menus are great. I'd go there just for dinner if I was down that area more often. Staff are a bit cold and blunt but it's not the end of the world. I'd stay here again.

A bitterly disappointing experience, I can't quite decide which was the worst element. The surly, unhelpful staff who made us feel an inconvenience, the fact we sat for 40mins before being served, or the terrible, overpriced food. £24 an adult for what they brought out is appalling. Each stand was for 2 people and consisted of beige boring 4 all tasted the same. Flat, hard scones with cheap, watery jam which had just been tipped into a dish. The tea was not in pot on the table, so we had to had to keep asking for a refill (when we could find someone), which meant we were gasping. I gave up after the 2nd cup!Furthermore, I asked where the babychange facilities were, after speaking with 4 different staff, I was finally told there isn't any but I could use the floor of one of the function rooms! The only positive is that it looks beautiful from outside. Alas, the inside is musty and dated. The whole experience was like something from Faulty Towers.

Tired is the best way to describe this hotel. In need of TLC.Bathroom had cracked and loose tiles. The bathtub was cracked and patched. The toilet stubbornly refused to flush. To charge my laptop I had to unplug the table lamp. No outlets I could find close to the bed.I arrived too late to have dinner and a drink.Wi-Fi has a good signal and great bandwidth. It been years since I stayed at a hotel with a real room key. How quaint! No lift/elevator would make access a challenge for anyone beyond the ground floor.

Hotel is not bad settings but the customer service is none existent and the staff are confrontational and overbearing being told to go bed at 10 pm as a adult is a joke. No pre warning that the bar and restaurant are closed on a FRIDAY which makes not much sense as we were just having a social drink with people in the room next to us outside just chatting had 1 visit in person and a phone call to the room claiming they have had complaints also the only cars in the car park were ours. I’d avoid this place in the future as I enjoy meeting people and having the option of chatting of people if I meet them.

This is a difficult one. It's quite obvious that the place is run on a tight budget. I didn't try any food so I can't comment on that. However the bar had very limited hours. Quite frankly although it's a lovely place I can't see how they will keep it going.
