The Sheen Cobbler

I've been using The Sheen Cobbler for years for shoe repairs and key cutting and always been greeted with a smile and very happy with the results. A few days ago I went in on the off chance that they could replace a battery in my watch. They could and they did. Very happy as it only took 5 mins or so and was very reasonable price.Thank you!

A proper shoe repair, not some stick a rubber sole over the top job.Way cheaper than going back to the manufacturer and a better result in any case. Highly recommended

I found this shoe restoration and repair on Google with amazing reviews: they have now completed cleaned my 2 pairs of orange suede shoes and they have a new life! I went in to change the batteries on my watch:Me: do you change batteries on watches?Man: yesMe: [I show him the watch I had already opened to check if I had a suitable battery at home]Man: why did you open it?Me: [I pause, I didn't know I needed the shop's permission to open the lid on my watch] I wanted to see the battery it neededMan: [grabs some gunk from the counter] see? You already broke it.Me: how much will it cost?Man: [he looks at the watch, clearly he is making a number in his head] this? ...15 pounds.Me: [the watch itself was 10 pounds] too pricey, thanksAs a woman, I have encountered this disrespectful attitude many times, so as soon as he told me off for opening my own watch, I knew exactly where this was going to go. The man had an accent, not that it matters but it might help to recognise him from the other people that work in there.Don't get scammed and good luck!(In case you want to know, I got a pack of watch batteries from eBay for 2 pounds, changed the battery myself.)

Great service and great job! Took my boots in for a general service, mainly because they had lost their waterproof factor. The cobbler pointed out it was due to the soles separating a little from the main shoe, so he did a great neat job of stitching them back up and re-sprayed them with waterproof protector spray. They are a combination of leather and suede, so he polished and spruced them up and they now look good as new. A fair price and a very friendly chap.

I would give more stars if I could! First time visiting a cobbler and the only place I will come back to. Excellent customer service, knowledge, and gave much needed reassurance of my shoes. Very kind, helpful and patient. Thank you very much.
