Love this gym! It’s cooling, I never overheat. They have everything you need to train hard and motivate yourself into consistency. Lots of space to work with. Staff are friendly and helpful. Classes are enjoyable. I never have trouble parking only in January and there’s always a place to go around the side. Classes do fill up in January so it’s best to get them booked in advance and definitely arrive at-least 30 mins early to get the equipment because they have run out before. The equipment is also neat and the facilities like the changing room are kept clean. Has the foundations for a good community here.

I have been going to 'The Gym' on Newport Road for over a year now. All the staff are really friendly and helpful when needed. The gym overall atmosphere is really friendly that you do not feel uncomfortable, members are always willing to help each other too. There is always plenty of weights, equipment to use when I attend. The changing rooms are large spacious clean. Would highly recommend.

Friendly environment for all ages including staff members that can give you tips and helping you achieve best results.I suppose the showers and toilets could have more regular checks...Been a member since it opened and suits me alright plus unbeatable membership prices.Just a thought.. how about a steam or sauna room? Or even both, that would be perfect for me and wouldn't mind to pay extra for that.Cheers

Incredible gym, even more incredible staff. I have been with the gym on Newport Road since the day it opened and it’s never failed to help me pursue my fitness goals. Along the way the staff within the gym have always helped me with my fitness and form, encouraging me to push my goals and gain in strength.I have always and still do recommend the gym to my friends and colleagues.Please pass my thanks to the general manager and the staff at the gym.

mens changing rooms in horrible condition. Urinals out of order for ages and some of the showers. The ones that do work have broken pegs and locks and stink. The sensors are awful also, showers give you about a 10 second burst of warm water and then turn off. The gym itself is ok but a lot of the equipment is in disrepair, especially the calf raise machine which consistently breaks and obviously gets repaired to a low standard. A lot of the equipment is rusting and old as well, and most of the carribeaners are broken too. There are a lot of simple things that could be done, that aren’t being done to make the gym much nicer.

Good gym with a wide offer of equipments. Sadly starting to offer less classes, and has for some reason no cleaning materials available (I thought it was kind of normal to wipe down your equipment when you finish, even before covid?) Other than that, very kind and knowledgeable staff, rarely too busy and very beginner friendly

I am enjoying my workout there every day. All good, nice clean, no problem at all just evening times are very busy and you have to wait for your turn to use the equipment and I'm kind of person/body who can't for long in between exercises/sets

Really lovely gym, staff really nice. Classes are really good, just wish there were more during the week day time. Always being cleaned, staff always on hand. Can’t fault it - great value. Easy parking all the time.

Been going here over a year, there are some bad points but I feel the good outweigh the bad.The bad: showers need a refresh, can be very very busy at peak times.The good: accessibility /opening hours, staff are fantastic, membership is reasonably priced, and the vibe isn't intimidating so it's good if you're a bit nervous about going to the gym.
