OMG.For a brand new shop.Items were Gon off.Fresh coriander was out of date the day before and was all slimmy. Most of the children breasts in a box were out of dat the next day.Went to pick up a big box of chicken breasts and were out of date the next day.So pretty much you have to freeze everything.Might as well go to farm foods. One of the staff members was ace.Went and got me some fresh stuff from out the back.He all so said they have just left everything to go out of date as they couldn't reduce anything as they never had any labels. Not a lot of happy people in there.

Love the new shop and glad it's open. The one thing I hate is the small room on the till. The workers are fast, I am slow with no room. Seems a few don't like the lack of room.

Visited 9/22 Sadly prices have massively gone up, products are often OOD or OOS, this cannot be relied upon to do shopping at, other Lidl seem to have stock. Sad Lidl close this store & do your refurb asap, as you have lost custom, I would spend every day, now once a month if desperate ie late.Visited 4/22 Store has loads of OOD fresh or dead looking produce. Starting to look like a BRAND Bazaar. I have been shopping elsewhere now for the last year, paying less as well per week, as not wasting food or it going OOD. I have dropped my 2 - 1 star, as I feel currently that is what it is. Other Lidl Stores do not have the issues this one does and has had for over 2 years now.Visited 1/3/22 Store Low on Stock again. (old comment). Let me guess which excuse this time...My previous review is now been taken back & my rating dropped to 2*s, Product quality is becoming an issue with Lidl stores not just this one, Fresh veg packages with mould spaws, issues with suppliers last year left no soups for nearly 3 months just tried the new batches & the vegetables are well out of season, past use by, all stringy, hard and not nice to pick out of your mouth, both Tomato & also Broccoli & Stilton are the worst, some might say the price you pay is what you get, well in fact there are two other super markets matching price, yet far better quality. Also be aware of dates, bought chicken & milk the other day that ran out on the day I bought them, must be left over from Christmas l recon.... Come on Lidl sort it out please, pensioners need a good soup on a cold day.

A vast improvement on the old shop. Brighter, more aisle space, wider product choice, and well laid out. Staff are generally helpful. The new store also has self-serve tills and customer toilets, so bringing the place bang up to date. The carpark has plenty of spaces, and there's even electric car charging points.

** Update March 2023 **This store closed in mid February and is due to be replaced by a new bigger one. It's scheduled to re-open in November 2023Its been open a good few years - so its small compared to the new stores they build now (e.g. Ringwood). Having said that, it carries a good representative range of their total stock. As noted by other reviewers, the veg isn't exactly 'fresh from the field' when it hits the shelves, so be cautious about its potential longevity. Some excellent bottles to be had in the wine department, and things like sweets and chocolate are great value for money. So are tinned and dry goods.Sometimes a bit of a wait to drudge through the tills, as they don't have self-checkouts. This can be a bit irksome if you've only got a basketful rather than a trolley load.Update Nov 2023It's reopened. Much bigger than the old store, excellent layout, wide aisles, self-service tills as well as manned checkouts. The range is broader than ever, and the quality undiminished.

I hated this new shop. The music was so loud I had to complain to the store manager. It was intrusive and battering. 'The volume is set by head office', she whimpered. 'There's nothing I can do. We have had several complaints today'. I voted with my feet taking my £6k per annum shopping needs across the road to sainsburys. I won't return.
