The Blaise Inn
Went for dinner with friends recently and this pub has a lot of charm and a vibrant atmosphere and is clearly popular with the locals. All the food was prepared really well (my plaice was cooked beautifully and the polenta fries are perfect) although each dish lacked something to make it great. Pub food is getting better and better so it takes a lot to create a really memorable pub menu these days and unfortunately this wasn’t one of them (yet) but we enjoyed our evening all the same and the service was fantastic. Worth visiting because this pub is clearly loved by a lot of people and you can sense that as soon as you walk in.

Had a lovely family meal at The Blaise Inn on Saturday. It is beautifully decorated for Christmas so has a lovely cosy pub atmosphere. Both meat-eaters and veggies alike enjoyed the Christmas menu and desserts. Perfect location for a wander to the castle after dinner too. Overall highly recommend - we will definitely be back!

Have eaten here a few times now and each time have had lovely meals. I'm vegetarian, but as menu changes regularly, have never had to repeat meals. Wine prices not a rip-off like chains always are ... hello The Ivy! Can park on Kings Weston Road and walk back if car park full. Often packed in evening, quieter lunch time. Need to book in advance to be sure of a table.

Fantastic sunday lunch. Food was very good, had the roast pork, beautifully cooked with a nice selection of vegetables. Hadn't intended to have starters, but the menu was so tempting couldn't resist the cuttlefish.The service was exceptional, really attentive without being intrusive. Lovely atmosphere, it was very popular so would definitely recommend booking.

Food extremely good. Well cooked, tasty and well presented. Had the braised Rump which was very good, and wife said her Onglet Steak was very good too.Only downside was we waited about 25mins for our food but it could be that we were the first sitting for the evening, having booked a table for 6pm. All told it was a very nice meal out in a lovely Pub.

Fantastic food and superbly friendly staff, they always look after us when we come to visit, as well as take extra special care of our children when they are being curious. I always recommend this place, where everyone goes above and beyond. Looking forwards to the next visit!

Came here about a month ago and the food was amazing, so we booked again, this time we were put on the end room which was very chilly, the food came out which was quite small with alot of roast potatoes and luke warm. We will not be returning.

This place was recommended, and it didn't disappoint.The menu wasn't large, but it had something for everyone. Staff were very friendly and cheerful. Probably try a Sunday lunch after a walk around Blaise.

Lovely gastro pub. Food is good but could be better. Prices are ok but £4 for 3 polenta chips or 3 slices of bread seems quite a lot. The rum raising cheesecake was delicious!
