Electric shower keeps tripping, fault is between consumer unit and shower switch. I called up repairs department and spoke with the most helpful girl. She took details and advised me that because the child in the house is over the age of 4yrs it's not classed as a priority. The girl worked her magic and got the job put through as a priority and electrician shall be out later on the same day. Normally my past experience has been poor but on this occasion the girl I spoke with was amazing. Credit where credit is due.

When I presented as homeless I was treated very well by the homeless team in Parliament Square. I was given a b&b which, although not perfect, was okay and everytime I had to go to Parliament Square for an appointment I never had any problems. Some of the verbal abuse and threats of violence that the staff have to deal with from some of the clients they are trying to help is disgusting. I now have permanent social housing.

We are getting married in Scotland and had to deal with the City Council for the past few months. Seemed a bit excessive, but in the end they were super accommodating and very helpful! Thanks for taking care of us during some stressful times!! :)

Apparently if your neighbours give you problem with nuisance, and you ask the help to the council, they can’t do nothing if your neighbours buy the house. In Edinburgh if you buy the house, you are free to make any party at night, the council don’t do nothing

As a local youtuber, entrepreneur and person paying a lot in taxes to this council i need to say... i am dissapointed. You can do what ever, work hard but then you see all those people on Hunter square and around with substantional amount of drugs they taking, fighting, shoplifting in stores, even having sweet love time"..... in public... in front of kids.... and you? council? you do nothing. you even get them a flats on royal mile to make their life "easier" as they are "vulnerable"..... but their only purpose of the day is disturbing everything around. normal 12h/ day working person cannot even afford this kind of living. And many people who are really vulnerable... they need to choose between paying rent... or paying food. Shame on you!"

Oxgangs area is not gritted at all in the winter the council seems to be not doing anything about it!! So dangerous for people on wheelchairs etc. Just heartbreaking to see these parts of Edinburgh to be so neglected. No salt in the grit bin. Sad to watch!!
