My eyes were thoroughly examined and advice given on all observations recorded. Advice was given on the actions to take to resolve any problems identified. Suggestions were given on how to go about implementing the identified problems. Follow up calls were made by the optician, to set in motion what is needed to implement the recommended procedures. I found this to be far above what I had expected.

Booked my eye test with contact lens check online with no issues, the examination was on time and excellent. When it comes to trying to find out if my new glasses are ready to be collected... Impossible! I have phoned multiple times randomly every day from when I was told they would be in but the phone keeps ringing off.

Pretty average to be honest. The optician who examined my eyes (Scottish lady) was excellent. Ordered a repeat photo and peripheral vision test which she checked and was happy with but the person she told didn't pass the message on so I wasted 20 minutes sitting around and almost missed my bus. Also nobody approached me for my £25 payment along with my prescription. You need to do better or I will go elsewhere. You also had my wrong address (left there 6 years ago) yet you were able to spam me with letters to the correct address?? Regards. Don

Louisa was very professional and caring in getting my specs repaired and in assisting me to select a 2nd spare pair of varifocal frames for my type of new lenses at the 50% discount price!I'm so grateful as am just going on pension and my budget is limited.Well done to the occulist team!

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Very in-depth eye tests are done and to my surprise its free for diabetic patients. Optometrists are very much supportive and so are the sales personnel who help to choose the right set of specs. Very much pleased with my first eye test at Boots

The staff were very friendly and attentive. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. The chattiness of the optician was welcome and put me at ease. Also having everything they were doing explained to me as we went along was very helpful and again aided making me feel comfortable.

After a contact lens check-up, which was fine, I signed up to the monthly rewards contact lens scheme. Unfortunately I didn’t get any paperwork relating to this so I had to phone up a few days later to clarify a few things. After a long wait at the end of the phone(20 minutes, to be more precise!) I was then told that the DD was rejected because my advantage card number was incorrect. Had I not phoned, would I have been informed? I now have a scheme number, the mistake was rectified, but still not able to register online to manage my account as the email to activate my account hasn’t come through. Is there a glitch on the site? No idea. What could have been a very simple and straightforward process is now proving extremely time consuming and difficult!

Will not have another eye test here again. I had the worst time and I usually enjoy my appointments because they are quick and easy for me to pass but not this time. My appointment was at 9:00 and I didn’t leave until 10:30. I usually have my eye test first which I have no problems passing but today I had my contact lenses check first. Although long, my contact lenses appointment was very good. After my long appointment, and having my sight tested, eyelids poked, put contacts in and out and yellow solution added they then think it’s a good time to do an eye test. I was told to put on my glasses (which is now an old prescription, as I found out that day) and do a visual field test (click test) which normally I have no trouble and get 100% first time but this time had to repeat 5 times! No one explained that I had to click for different brightness (I was clicking on the bright lights at first) and kept blinking through the dim ones and thinking that it was my eyes adjusting to the bright ones. It was very uncomfortable as the man (couldn’t understand him well and was rather rude and abrupt) didn’t adjust the height properly so the bar was going into my nose. After adjusting I still didn’t pass so I was then asked to change into my contacts and start over again. I was close to tears. I was trying to be honest with my clicking but felt that if I just clicked every second then I would have passed but I was trying to only click when I was a bright light. Doesn’t seem accurate. Could the light bulbs be going? I always found this fun and easy but today it was just really dim but maybe that was just the solution in my eyes affecting it. Either way, I’m going to look for another place with a newer, more accurate machine for my next test as it’s the same machine I’ve had for over 7 years and would like something more modern. Was also told that I needed new glasses because my prescription was slightly weaker than it should be (but still ok for driving limits) but everyone kept pressuring me to buy new frames as they are 50% off but after I said I’m happy with the frames I have got I just need new lenses no one was interested in helping me. I looked online if I can reframe my existing glasses and I can from £20! So I am going to do that instead. Looking also to change my contact provider also as Boots has gone downhill for me.

I was served by two staff members. The lady staff who arrived from Glasgow has examined my eyes completely for any diabetic symptoms. Then I was served by Mr Steven, he has put more effort than usual in helping selecting and fitting glasses for driving, reading and a pair of cooling glasses. I am thankful to both the staff members of the Boots. Thanks and Regards,Pattabhi.

My new surgery mistakenly sent my child's medication to Boots which was our previous nominated pharmacy in our area, they NEVER bothered to pick up any call as I wanted to get it released by them. Many people have already complained. This is such a shame!
