Halfords Autocentre Canterbury

I had my MOT done here last year in November and was told I needed new brake disc’s and pads, spark plugs replaced a new battery as on 70% charge and it would not start in cold weather. I have just booked my car in to my local garage he checked the brakes all round and they are all good,The spark plugs were changed but I realised after that they had only done 10.000 miles and only need changing every 30.000 miles !. Also my battery is still going strong. Hence I would not trust Halfords again I might be female but I’m not stupid Guys

Disappointing garage service. Left car in garage for one full day for MOT and service, only to be told that they did not change brake fluid. Promised to do it the following day in half an hour, only to take all afternoon and told me that they still couldn't do it because car was in valet mode, never called, and it was by then too late to do anything because the garage was closing. Agreed to refund the price of brake fluid change, but never processed it, so now I need to waste time chasing that refund.Customer service cut me off after a long wait, and after multiple attempts of contacting them, the rep could only escalate" and refer my case to another team.On top of all that

Had a brakes check on a a newly purchased second hand car, excellent service. Staff were Very helpful and friendly. Recommended

Cracking bunch here. Called with an issue on Monday asking if we could be seen asap. Thursday morn we're in the garage and an hour later patched up and sent on our way. Everyone spoke plainly and explained why they were doing xyz and were honest if they thought they could do something or not.Really friendly, honest, professional bunch. Always happy to go here.

whilst the job was done, I believe competently, the issue I had was with the timing.I was booked for 08:30am, and arrived as requested 15 mins earlyfor the M.O.T and was told I'd be informed once the service was complete. The first call I got was about 14:30 to tell me about the advisories, and then about an hour later with ref another matter, I asked if I should come along to pick the car up but was told again they'd call when it was ready. I didn't hear any more so went about 16:00 and was told it would be another half an hour.So basically, it took from 08:15 until 16:20 to do an M.O.T and full service, surely too long? Having worked in a garage I know an M.O.T takes 40/45 mins, so why so long on the service?

Staff were spot on I was a little late due to traffic , not a problem straight in for my MOT and one of my tyres had a inside cut Rang me and they changed it . Great Crew at Canterbury Highly recommend

Ive waited 2 hours for front two tyres and tracking. This is the last time Im coming halfords and I will not be coming again!

Told me they needed to remove half my car to change a light bulb when they just needed to prise unit out

Weird experience. Booked online for Aircon system check. Popped up with a free health check and brake check so paid and booked. Asked which slot you would like. I selected mid morning. Arrive at the garage. A staff member says hi and immediately says if they find a fault a regas would be £70. I mentioned the website price promise and an offer at other local chains. The chap suddenly changed his approach and in an angry and confrontational way. Said , can't even get the gas for that price. Then proceeded to say what's the problem with the brakes and car and I said nothing I know of but your website offered the free checks. He then proceeded to say it would take all day and maybe not have been ready for tomorrow for 3 small low cost checks! At that point I should have cancelled and left. Very odd approach to customer service. I know their job is to upsell. But not making customers lives difficult when they discuss your own advertised policies. Weird and disappointing experience would definitely not recommend.

I visited two times for my car check and mot. Service was good, staffs were nice and kind. Totally recommended and I will continue to visit.
