The Half Moon
Lovely little CAMRA type pub just 5 mins walk out of town centre. Quiet, grown-ups only and it comes with a pub dog too! Local ales sold. Deffo worth a visit if you like ales and want to get away from the usual mainstream bars.

A lovely little boozer that’s really old and wonderful. It’s clean and owned by a really nice family. And the regulars are really friendly.

Still the best pub in townEd June 2022, still applies - nowhere better; very chilled place; informal music on Mondays. Closes early Tuesday & Thursday. August 2022, still 6 fully functioning handpumps - always a range of strengths and flavours.Nov 2022 - no change - why would they? It's how we like it. You might too.Jan 2023 Upon prompting by the algorithm, no, still the same, still the best.

Lovely traditional real ale pub, decor a bit tierd but can not fault the warm welcome from staff and customers alike. Does not sell food.

Really good real ale pub. Down to earth, no nonsense bar with friendly staff and regulars.Big focus on cask ale and cider, if that's your thing, you won't be disappointed. If your idea of a good beer is John Smith's or Fosters... you probably will be!Vastly under-rated pub
