Poundland

My rights have been taken due to steriotypical attitudes towards the youth. My daughter was shopping for her lunch in this store until she was told by a member of staff to ‘don’t put that in your pocket’. She was browsing on what to purchase on her lunch break. My daughter then proceeded to approach the till and pay for the products, until…she was leaving the store and got approached by another member of staff, where she was requested to open her bag. When the staff member got to her friends bag and found a birthday present of magic stars, she then assumed she hadn’t brought them, and asked for a receipt. I think this is very unfair to target all young people , due to a small minority of those who do commit theft. My daughter also suffers from social anxiety, and was left feeling distraught and unsettled. No one else was searched,

Poundland is our favourite go to shop. These days they also do some branded art stuff like Daler Rowney! They have seasonal decor pieces. You can also get gardening stuff, battery operated and normal electricals, furniture at times, snack items, baby items, mobile accessories, batteries, chocolates etc etc.

Great store and great prices will use again

Price and material is good but staff behavior and attitude not good . If you ask them something they annoying easily. I noticed it 2 times ,I never encountered this kind of attitude before . Yesterday on 2 Jan 2023 I visited the store . I traveled all over the UK but never seen this type of staff . Staff behavior should be polite and they should have patience with everyone.

Good got what I wanted

Exact town center place shop with loads of near by shops. The shop itself is of good size. There is no clothing section as you find in bigger Poundland shop in London area. New self service checkouts are very easy now which reduce the Q'the shop has been now redesigned with more space.

Useful shop to visit as they are good value and sell a large variety of products.

Not a bad place to find a few bargains.However the name Poundland" is becoming more and more of a misleading name.Most of the stuff I see in there now is £1.50 or above."

Easy to navigate. Low stock for some items.
