Baker Jones (C37) Whitchurch

Returning customer for their delicious Custard Slices but also tried slices of the Coffee & Walnut and Victoria Sponge cakes. Amazing moist texture, huge slices - could probably share with someone else, but it was so delicious!

Ordered an afternoon tea box and a savoury picnic box to treat my mum for mothers day. Whilst I've got a sweet tooth to put anyone to shame, my mum much prefers savoury so I was thrilled to find this savoury box picnic box by C37. Put my order in on the website, very easy to use and simple to select which store you want to collect from or get a delivery. I chose to pickup from the Whitchurch store and it clearly states that collection is between 10am - 2pm so you're well aware before you place your order. Got an e-mail confirmation and receipt straight away from order.Picked up my order on the day, absolutely lovely staff in the Whitchurch store. So so friendly and upbeat, got my order straight away all boxed up nicely with my name on it and everything was correct. I was offered to take a look at the other cakes in the store for sale that day which I did - there was a Guinness cake special for St. Patrick's day. All the bakes in the store looked divine and I could've spent a fortune, but I declined since I had the two boxes already.Unpacked the boxes with my mum and we were both delighted with the contents. Afternoon tea contained sandwiches, a scone with jam and cream, welsh cakes, biscuits and a red velvet cupcake - all absolutely lovely. Savoury box was pasties, sausage rolls, quiche, bacon wrapped sausages, a scone and cupcake - again, all lovely.Really great tasting food, couldn't fault a thing. Coupled with the lovely service from the women in the store and the looks of the amazing cakes they had fresh, I'd definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

Organised a suprise 50th birthday party with a cake for the centre piece. Ordered and paid for it weeks before and double checked that everything was ok two days before pickup. Despite being assured that everything was ok, on the day of pickup there was no cake due to an error". Was given a refund and offered cup cakes but declined as they had been catered for. Spent the party seething every time I glanced over and saw the emergency shop bought cake amongst the beautiful catered food. This place is fine for everyday use but avoid for special occasions."

My husband and I had afternoon tea a present from a friend for our Diamond wedding anniversary it was so lovely very tasty and good selection of sweet and savoury.Loved it and friend delighted at such a successful present.Thank you C37.

Friendly staff and minor hiccup with order was fortunately resolved quickly. Cupcakes are attractive, with tasty icing but unfortunately the sponge was incredibly dry, almost inedible. Mentioned this to a friend who has recently purchased cupcakes from here too, and she also thought the same, but said other items such as brownies are very good.

Fantastic afternoon tea delivered to our doorstep with a variety of sandwiches and cakes.
