Old Oak Dental Practice

I have been with Old Oak Dental Practice since 2019 when it was located in Water Street in Carmarthen. Service was very good but, the location was not convenient as I had to park and walk, taking about 15 minutes. Also, due to COVID-19, wait on the pavement even in the rain until called in ! What a transformation since the move into a spanking new purpose built building with its own car park near Morrison’s in Carmarthen! Bristling with state of the art dental equipment inside the most exquisite decor and elegant furnishings, it has got WOW factor written all over ! Dr Adam Llewelyn and Dental Hygienist, Sarah Wright provide excellent service ably supported by nurses and Reception Staff in their easily distinguishable smart uniforms! We have lived most of our NHS working lives in the affluent South East but, Old Oak Dental Practice is superior to them all ! That’s no exaggeration! Great team, inside was really nice, nice chairs and rugs. Easy and plenty of parking outside too. Had a tooth extraction today and as I’m a very anxious person anyway they made me feel completely calm and at ease and took it at my own pace, I really appreciate that, wouldn’t want to go anywhere else to be honest. Didn’t wait long for my son to be called in. The process was swift from checks, x-ray, to extraction. The staff were friendly and made my son comfortable and brave taking the ‘sleepy juice’.

I attend regularly and our foster child is also registered.He had his first tooth extraction recently and the patience and kindness shown him was amazing.All the staff are friendly and helpful and make a visit to the dentist painless.Joy Grace

Registered as new patient. Excellent facilities, with a calm relaxed atmosphere. Can be a little unsettling when relocating to a new dentist. Been with previous dentist in England for 20 years.From first contract with practice by telephone (Kay) .Excellent polite, friendly and informative. Amazing and so professional. Best dental practice iv been to.Shannon my dentist has been truly amazing. Before I went to my first appointment I suffered from so much anxiety. But felt so much at ease straight away, talked thro everything very well, answerd all questions even if I felt like they were silly, kept me as ease and talked thro everything while getting treatments and making sure im ok, even got to see my xray on a huge screen and talked thro each tooth that I knew I needed work doing.I used to spend days worrying about going to the dentist when i knew i had a appointment After so much bad experiences with previous dentists, Your not just a number they truly care about each individual take time and patience, understanding and have no judgement.Reception is beautiful, very clean and lovely kind Reception staff and all top of the range facilities. Iv been so lucky to find a practice like this.Thank you for looking after me, all the work your doing and unfortunately I have alot more appointment to go, but I'm keeping up with my appointments and taking all the advice iv been given, I no longer dread going to the dentist even if its to get a tooth pulled out .
