Tried calling twice yesterday and the automated voice told me no one was available to help and then hung up. I tried at 8:30 today and after 30mins got through to someone. In fairness, she was really helpful and friendly so 10/10 stars for her, but as for the system, it was nion impossible to get through to anyone.

45 minute wait time (which unfortunately is very normal) but when I did get through the lady I spoke with was very polite and very helpful. I wish they would employ some more advisers instead of always suggesting you go online and find out information yourself, most of us have done this by the time we pick up the phone!

Talked to Rebecca and she helped me with my query very efficiently. I had many questions regarding a letter that I got from HMRC and she patiently answered them all. Deducting one star for the one hour waiting time.

They quick to take your money with out any questions but when you try and call them they don’t wanna answer tried on 4 different occasions still not been able to get a hold of anybody

It's absolutely amazing. Breathtaking atmosphere and architecture design. The customs and international trade team is just fabulous. Any query about trading, that is your team. Yes, they ask for your number if the call drops, and they do call your back. I was surprised to find they can deal with such a vast number of queries related to VAT, GVMS, NTCS etc ...Fabulous customer service.

The standard of service is shocking. Wait around an hour for someone to say hello" then hang up. I can remember in the not too distant past when HMRC answered calls within ten minutes or so and they were always really helpful. Just goes to show the state this government has this country in. We're very quickly becoming a third world nation."

My business has gone bankrupt, thank you HMRC for not being able to change my VAT registered address. I have 3 kids.Government Organisation which would run better if they employeed Chimpanzees.

Never seen a worse call service than that at HMRC. Despite the number of calls I had to make to contact them , I kept on holding the calls each more than 40 minutes long and still could not get through. My tax payment issues need to be sorted and I just dont know what to do regarding the same. A principal office in a developed country like this functioning in such an ineffective way is a disgrace to the whole system in UK.

If I could give zero stars I would, the hours are ridiculous for people working and the hold time is 40 minutes. It’s rare to find someone who is able to give the correct help/ advice

Given wrong information and conflicting advice by hmrc. Complete waste of time and stressed caused. There is no way of contacting by phone, as phone line is closed until September. Waited 40 mins for online chat and then lost the 'chat' because it's rubbish.
