Craigentinny Avenue Post Office

This morning I just went to this post office to post a parcel, the woman was extremely rude to me from the start, she didn't even ask me if it was a gift, if I needed tracking and what value it was (as it was going to the US). I had to ask her to fill these in for me and she was annoyed at this. I honestly asked politely just to double check if the parcel had been marked as a gift as it wasn't clear if this had been done, she said yes I have marked it as a gift as you asked me to" in a very horrible and aggressive tone. I've never been so appalled or served this way in my life. I tried to explain that I wasn't being rude I just was double checking as I didn't want the receiver to be charged with customs for a gift. She told me to calm down! I didn't even raise my voice I was being polite and quiet

I try to avoid this post office, I always find the service slow and you are left waiting for a long time. The lady is lovely but the man is very rude, condescending and aggressive. They seem quite annoyed if you come in as a Drop & Go or Click & Drop customer. I go out of my way to use Easter Road post office instead - they are very friendly, helpful and professional.

I have used this Post Office on a number of occasions and have found the staff to be very helpful. I have just read a few negative reviews on here and have to say my experience of this office could not be more different and I have had very pleasant dealings from 'that' male member of staff in particular.

went to post a parcel and found the positions all closed, no details of when open. Wasted trip to get there. Will use an alternate postal service. Always a problem there. The post office are determined to put off customers

Went there three times over the past two weeks and the ladies behind the counter, though different, were always so nice, kind, and helpful! One of them even helped me at ten to 9am, before their opening times, just out of niceness. I'm glad I have this post office nearby!

A great wee post office who have struggled recently with lack of staff. They're now back to full service as far as I can tell either at post office or shop counter. The staff are always happy to take my drop and go parcels of which there's been many recently. Shop and post office staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Never a nice experience, customer service is non existent. They should have a specific closed hour for lunch if they can not provide cover instead of just randomly closing while there is a Q.

Post office now at normal counter and absolutely useless, one member of staff sits and does nothing, ignoring customers while the one that serves has no clue how the service works. Tried to charge for a small track and trace parcel rather than a letter at almost 3 times the cost.

Sometimes the post office counter is closed inside the RS McColl shop due to staffing issues. Sometimes it's rarely open on a Friday when I got to pay my rent. I have to end up using the pay point at the shop tills, and can't actually post anything. It's happened quite a few times over the past few months. The post office being open os a hit and miss type thing.
