We recently moved very quickly and without fuss. Steve and Dave at Carruthers and Luck handled A 4 person chain keeping everyone happy. I have no hesitation in recommending them and in staying local and dealing with their local contacts.

Carruthers and Luck have been extremely helpful during our flat purchase which was delayed due to the fault of the seller’s solicitor. Throughout this process we have primarily dealt with Dave and Steve, who were able to answer any questions that we had and were consistently chasing the seller’s solicitor on a daily basis. Dave and Steve were very understanding of our situation; they remained professional and responsive throughout the entire process, despite it continuing much longer than anticipated by any of the parties.We are extremely grateful and thankful to Dave and Steve and also to Andrew who initially showed us the flat and assisted on a few occasions when Dave and Steve were on leave. I'm shocked at how this agency decides if someone is capable of renting a property based on there wage bracket . Taking salary and x 30% gives them the outcome of what someone can afford. We live in a time where by most of us just about survive , we have to live in a ln extremely tight budget . This is just how it has to be , and I would not take on something I would not think possible. I even had a guarantor earning up to £60k , and a reference of 4.5 years in same property, with no pause on payments as a lone parent in a pandemic - I survived and made sure my rent was paid. This company thinks given my wage I can only afford a property of up to £1k . We live in Brighton, you can't even get a studio flat for this price - let alone the 2 X bed I need for me and my child . I'm outraggeed by the lack of care , and understanding for individuals different situations by this company . Very inconsiderate indeed.

Our sale went very smoothly and either Dave or Steve rang me each week to update me on any progress - something I know not all estate agents do and something my friends have envied. They priced the house realistically and it sold very quickly despite going on the market before Christmas. They were always helpful and straightforward which I much appreciated. Having moved house 8 times I wasn't looking forward to the hassle involved with another splendid house move, but I have to say that this last sale and move was the easiest I have encountered, made easy by the very professional way viewings and all follow up were handled by Steve and his team at their Saltdean office. Nothing was too much trouble. Advice given was spot on and everything went so smoothly. Good to do business with these guys. Highly recommended.
