As always Sophie carried out a very thorough eye examination, offering helpful advice. The daunting prospect of selecting new frames was turned into an enjoyable experience in a very unhurried way. Very pleased with the resulting glasses which felt as if they belonged to me from the moment I wore them.

Wonderful friendly advice and a great range of unusual glasses. I have always avoided the idea of varifocals but after years of losing different sets of specs I finally acceded to their advice and ordered some together with a pair of heavy round specs. They are brilliant. No trouble adjusting and I wear them all the time. They have become a permanent part of my look" and I get lots of compliments! Highly recommended!"

A really in-depth eye exam, extremely personal service , an amazing choice of frames ! Jo helped me pick a great frame and fitted my glasses beautifully. Also signed up for the care plan, £9 a month with great discounts and the eye exam included,

My first visit to Taylor-West was last week wanting new glasses with my new prescription. Fabulous service received and within a week my new glasses had arrived. I'm incredibly happy with the service and the service I've been offered if within 60days I don't get on with the new lenses. Lovely staff made better with Peggy the cute dog. I felt ever so comfortable throughout the process and my glasses fit perfectly. I've not taken them off all day!I will certainly be booking my next eye test here.Thank you for helping me find the right style of glasses for my Pixy face!Caz Asher

Probably the best opticians you will ever visit...most importantly, the knowledge and level of care is second to none - especially important if, like me, you have difficult eye problems and specific needs. All of the technology that supports their eye tests is cutting edge and clearly and simply explained. Thoroughness is combined with excellent customer service from the front of house team and the lenses i have from them are excellently sharp which, as a photographer, i depend on. They have a monthly care plan that considers the tough economic times I and we all are going through, and that is most welcome.

I have been a patient of Taylor West & Co for 8 years and the care, service, range and quality of finished specs is second to none. Sophie and Eileen plus the team are all fantastic and I would not go anywhere else. I have a super high prescription so high street opticians struggle to get the accuracy. I also love the fact you get specs that not many others will have as frames are often rarer or exclusive. They also look after my daughter’s (11 yo) needs and have given her stylish corrective specs so that she won’t have the same bad eyesight I do (only possible due to Sophie’s optical proactiveness and experience). Worth checking out their new boutique store in North Laine Brighton to get kitted out in a new style that will get you compliments. Would recommend 100%

Although Taylor West is not the cheapest opticians to go to, it certainly is well worth the cost. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a thorough eye test, where every possible test was carried out to check the health of my eyes. Sophie took her time to explain what she was doing and to explain the results. Absolutely brilliant service, and the coolest glasses I’ve ever seen (and worn!) Everybody should go here, other opticians are poor imitations.
