Was pleasantly surprised to discover this pub. Had a really delicious lunch. Sunday Roast portion was too big even though we ordered a small portion. The staff were polite and welcoming. The bartender provided information about the portion sizes upfront. Glad we ordered small portion.

A smashing pub on the north edge of Plumstead Common. The Old Mill hits all the right buttons. A good choice of keg beers along with a great array of cask ales on offer. Great service and a very relaxed atmosphere. A very friendly place to take a rest and slake your thirst.

Having gigged at the pub last night, we went back today on our first day iff in months to sample the roast dinners that had been mentioned to us. Oh my god... if you like a nice roast dinner - you need to visit The Old Mill. We went for the regular £10.50 beef option and only just managed to finish it. It was beautiful. There is a larger one available for £15 but it's huge! Lovely and very professional management and staff, can't wait to come back there again soon for work and/or pleasure.Future FM Live / Future Entertainment

Look at that Sunday Roast! Lamb at the front (with mint sauce offered), beef behind (with mustard and horseradish offered). The beef was beautifully pink in the centre. Can't remember the price but it was v. reasonable.A good variety of beers. The bar is a bit 'dusty', but what do you expect in a listed building!It has a great beer garden out the back, covered in one part, but it was too cold that day to enjoy.
