The Burton Hotel and Cloud Nine

Nice clean big rooms. Really comfy bed. High power shower. Tea and coffee. Good simple food, great breakfast. Really helpful staff.

We came here for a relaxing mini break before the busy-ness of the Christmas period and we had the most relaxing time! The spa was divine and they are very generous with how much you are able to use the spa for an overnight stay. We planned to go and visit Hereford but ended up staying and using the spa instead because we enjoyed it so much. The gym has limited equipment but enough for you to get in a good workout. I wanted to book in a massage treatment too but unfortunately I left it too late that Gemma was fully booked so I recommend booking in early! The food was delicious, well priced and the menu had a good variety of dishes. The staff were all super friendly and made us both feel very valued staying there. Overall it was a brilliant stay and there was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Thank you.

Nice enough for a few days the only bonus to this place is that it has a lovely gyp pool sauna and steam room which is a huge plus. The location is ok however the small town doesn't have a lot going for it as it seems quite run down and has a lot of empty shops however there's a great bus service to nearby areas at a reasonable price

Been coming here for years. It may not be luxury, but it is clean, inviting and friendly. The owner and staff are all brilliant. Food is fantastic, in fact a real feature of the place. Great gym and value all round. Highly recommended.

So we only ate there and had a drink, we didn’t stay there but the inside of the bar is very dated and bland, the staff are friendly and serve you efficiently. the menu is a good pub menu with quite a bit of choice and fairly good prices but the garden at the back is weird, it could be really nice with a fence round it but it feels like you’re sat in a car park with parked cars right next to you. Unfortunately there were two separate tables of people who spent the whole time talking loudly and every other word was a swear word - nice!

Really friendly and nice staff. Good food (and well kept beer). Spa and gym are beautiful with a wide range of equipment. Bedrooms are a bit dated but clean and functional

Drove three hours to meet up with family who live locally for Sunday lunch. Service was excellent with very attentive staff. Food was fantastic and one of the best Sunday roasts I have had in a long while. I'd certainly visit more frequently if we lived closer. Thank you to all and we will return.

I have stayed in this lovely hotel on a number of occasions.It is a revelation to find a hotel of this superb quality in a small Welsh town.The staff are friendly, efficient and the food is excellent.The pool and Spa facility are as good as in hotels that charge far more than the very reasonable room rates that are the norm here .So well done John and the team at the Burton Hotel

Food great staff lovely could do with some comfy seats to sit on after dinner eg club chairs as only dining tables and chairs in bar and near reception
