Cycle Surgery Port Solent

I took my MTB in for a new bottom bracket, rear gear cable, front and back wheel bearings and brake pads. I was very happy with the quality of workmanship and the knowledge of the bike mechanic Dan. I would definitely go back again when my baby needs further attention.

Went there today to buy a new bike. Really helpful staff. Bike was all set up and ready to go within a hour of me arriving. This was great as traveled 50 miles to get this bike due to a great deal on it. Cheers guys

Excellent Service, excellent staff! Even on a busy bank holiday Monday. New tyre was selected, fitted and pumped up by staff in no time at all. Going the extra mile - quite literally! Excellent range of MTB bikes and gear too, will definitely be back

To whom it may concern;I am just sending a quick note of gratitude to your team at the Port Solent branch yesterday 6 Jun 18, for the first class service I received. I was cycling home at 1700 when my rear wheel spoke snapped leaving my bike barely rideable with 12 miles to get home. I was near Port Solent, and thought I might as well try, never thinking of being able to get fixed that night. To my delight your engineer (a large man, with beard) happily took my bike, changed wheel, replaced tyre and rear gears to new wheel. Tweaked gears and rear brake and 15 mins later I was back on the road. I have never received such wonderful customer service, and will never shop anywhere else. Staff are just too cool and bone idle to be bothered to help. The management really need to get a handle on the problem ASAP. Maybe some mystery customer analysis or cctv would solve the problemCalled in for replacement disc brake pads as I was on a long distance ride from Ashbourne to Nice with full packs on a touring bike. I was concerned of brake failure. They said the fronts were worn. I asked if they could replace them that day as I was getting on the ferry later that day, but they refused point blank, even though it’s only a five minute job.They gave me a cock and bull story that it would take ‘ages’ to bleed the brakes and they are not allowed to use fluids in their workshop for health and safety reasons. The earliest they could do it was in 7 days time. To be clear Shimano disk brakes do not need re-bleeding after a pad change!I stayed in the shop for 30 buying bits for my trip. All of that time said ‘mechanic’ was chatting to his mates on the shop floor. Staff at this outlet seem somewhat removed from the fact that customers pay their wages. I moved on.Called in to a great cycle shop in St Malo. All changed and sorted in less than five minutes, no bleeding. He even suggested I take a spare pad set with me and he showed me how to change them in an emergency.The big difference was that guy owned the shop.

After a shocking experience at Evans cycles in Havant, I went to this store and Leighton was full of knowledge advised that they price match and didn't even quibble when I said another store was £13 cheaper. Very knowledgable and friendly staff.

Best bike shop in the area, staff are very kind, knowledgeable and go out of their way to help customers.Wouldn't want to take my bike anywhere else for repairs they really know their stuff, they even take on work that other bike shops that I have been to wouldn't do.I would always come here for repairs, help and advice.
