Duke Orwell Quay car park

This car park" is PRIVATE LAND and the owner can issue fines willy nilly with cctv proof of your car being on their land. This is a popular tourist trap car park scam. Previous reviewers should take them to small claims court for being unfairly fined but better yet

BE VERY WARY OF PARKING HERE! I parked here just once in July 2021 and paid for a full day's parking and then received a parking ticket asking me to pay a hefty fine because I had 'parked outside of the marked bays.' The surface of this car park is a wasteland of broken concrete and mismatching surfaces. I did not see any marked bays and parked neatly in line with another car. Luckily, I was able to prove all this with photos I had taken and my appeal against the parking fine was successful. I can only assume my ticket was a speculative one, hoping that I would just panic and pay up. In spite of the great quayside location, I will not ever park at this car park again and I would urge others to think twice before parking here too. IPSERV need to do better. (This review would be NO STARS if the website allowed me to do that.)

Very accesible huge car park on the waterfront with a lovely view in the central locatuon. Best and convenient way to pay for carpark is Ringo app, it allows you to extend your stay if needed. you may see loads of puddles and uneven surfaces, so be careful while parking and walking.We actually parked here so that we can have a lovely, peaceful dinner at Chutney's indian restaurant. It was 5.10£ for 3 hour parking. Later, after having dinner we discovered the Athena hall car park which is also university car park and is also available for public, and there the price for 3 hour is 2.10£, surprised??So, I would suggest to check the parking at Athena first, so you pay less. For other days we directly parked to Athena. Probably it was empty mostly due to easter break. It may be full or much busy during Uni days. So choose accordingly…

It's not bad size but even through the midday in a middle of the week it is full. They don't have car park for the family's. At least I haven't seen any. Only for disabled. You have to pay and display. No option to use app. Lots of puddles, very uneven surface. Even motorbikes have to pay for parking.

Excellent position but ground need renovation. Awful to drive on. Prices not too bad

Someone was kind enough to give me their ticket which was for the day. I displayed it clearly and still got a £60 fine. Never parking here again.

Never used car park before, no contactless or card payment, only through an app site. Which spent 15 mins trying to use, got no further than car number when site froze, many people having the same problem.£100 pound fine. Easy money. Hope it will be spent on smartening up the parking area.

Paid £5.10p thinking it was correct for an evening. Got a £60 fine as cost is £5.50. Bad lighting pouring with rain. 40p short. Disgusting price for an evening

The surface of the carpark is full of inconsistencies which can damage your car if you're not careful.

Great car park for the university and waterfront, very convenient and often has spaces. The surface isn't all that great, so take care, especially in the wet or icy weather.You can pay with the Ringo app which is convenient as it allows you to extend your stay if you need to, avoiding getting fined for under paying. It's a bit over a fiver for a full day which is not bad for the central location.
