I am writing this to highly recommend Kevin Lomax Funerals. My lovely Mum passed away on 8th September 2020 aged 87. As a family, we are heart broken that such a lovely kind person is no longer with us. However, from the moment i spoke to Kevin on the phone, i felt reassured and comforted to know that Mum, and the funeral arrangements were in safe hands. I knew that Mum would get the funeral she deserved. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. He guides you through all the different elements that make up a funeral and allows you to choose what is right for you. He will never pressure you into buying anything that isn't right for you or your personal budget. I found that the price we paid for all the different services provided, was very good. He is warm and friendly, but also highly organised and professional at all times. Not once did i feel the need to phone him to 'chase something up'. It was as if he read my mind and just knew what needed to be done. This obviously comes from his many years dealing with funerals. The premises are lovely. Very warm and welcoming without being stuffy. We visited Mum in one of the Chapels of Rest onsite and it was very comforting there. We were not at all rushed when saying our goodbyes, in fact during all our visits, Kevin gave us his full attention and never pressured us into making decisions. The day of the funeral came and there was Kevin and the team, immaculately dressed, gleaming Limousine & Hearse, beautiful flowers on Mum's casket. Everything was just so, and they went about the business of conducting the funeral with a warmth and quiet dignity. The day was obviously so very sad, but i was comforted to know that we had done the best for our Mum and that she had been treated so respectfully by Kevin Lomax Funerals. I have dealt with Kevin twice sadly in three months after losing my Aunt and my beloved Mum. I can’t say enough good things about Kevin and his team. I was so scared too plan a funeral but Kevin made it so easy. At our first meeting he wanted too know all about my mum the funeral was very personal too us and what mum would have wanted. He was so kind and respectful and didn’t treat mum like a job or a payment he spoke about her like he’d known her his whole life. He’d phone me too check on me and too keep me up to date he created beautiful flowers and order of service and helped us with the catering. Through my devastation he treated me like a friend and never tried to sell me anything I didn’t want. I honestly don’t think I could have done it without him. Thank you Kevin and the team. Kevin has arranged two funerals for me in the last two years, sadly the most recent being my husband’s. The service he gave me was professional, personal to Neil and just perfect from beginning to end. He always goes the extra mile, eg transforming the funeral flowers into three beautiful displays I was able to share with my family.
