Really lovely friendly non pretentious gym, would be suitable for anyone of any ability. I can't recommend Dean highly enough as a personal trainer. I started going after I had a back operation and was very nervous about doing anything - now I will try anything Dean asks and am no longer worrying about my back all the time I feel much more confident day to day. Also Dean and Freya have kids too so I always took my little one along with me to training and Dean didn't mind if he occasionally wanted to join in, this meant I could train without having to put little one in a crèche or impose on family! Awesome...

Went there one morning for a session as a novice, the actual training was ok, however they let the mums kids run about inside the gym where you are 'trying' to train.Not professional and definitely not safe

I got in touch with Dean after my second son was born. I was feeling unmotivated and just generally out of shape post parenthood. I wanted to get back into the swing of regular exercise and find my love of the outdoors, running and surfing again. Dean was great, he spent lots of time understanding my goals and he adapted the training to suit my needs. Balancing training for both running and surfing wasn't easy but he did a fantastic job. I have never done personal training before but I can honestly say it was the best investment I could have made. Even though the training sessions have finished now I am still motivated and feeling all the benefits which in turn make me focused and altogether much happier.Lovely guy with a great knowledge and a great venue. Highly recommend getting involved

I came to PHNX studios with a leg injury and the instructor kindly adapted all the exercises for me to do and offered me alternatives. Very recommendable place, great vibes and a really professional and attentive instructor.

Brilliant small and friendly gymI'd always found gyms intimidating and therefore stayed away. I was recommended PHNX to help build core strength as part of marathon training plan 18 months ago - WOWI'm hooked - classes are small, trainers and customers friendly and above all the classes are tough. Dean and Freya take the time to get to know everyone creating a great atmosphere - even injury is no excuse not to train - exercises are tailored and sports massage is available to really ensure everyone achieves their bestBest decision I made

Been going to phnx fitness for about a year now and have definitely felt and seen the results improve with time. Have personal training sessions with Dean and attend boxercise classes twice a week.Very friendly and professional set up for anyone wishing to improve on their levels of fitness.

I can't recommend PHNX Fitness enough. I joined a buggy Bootcamp class in 2013 when my son was 18 months old. Having already lost 5 stone I wanted to improve my fitness. I am still a PHNX member now and do 5 classes a week, my children are welcome to the gym, and all classes are varied and suitable for all different abilities and I have regular pt with Freya & Dean. Thanks to the knowledge and confidence I've gained since becoming PHNX member I've completed two half marathons and obstacle courses and I can use weights with confidence. Dean & Freya are professional and knowledgable and the PHNX members are all friendly and welcoming.

I've recently started going to PHNX gym's morning classes and have only great things to say about them. Not only is the training brilliant but I was so pleased to find I was allowed to bring my son with me, for no extra cost. As a new mum who very rarely has free time to myself but desperately wants to feel the many benefits of regular exercise, this gym really is a lifeline. And after meeting the many other dedicated mums that go, it's clear I'm not alone. I hope PHNX gym feel extremely proud of the service they provide for us, and the supportive, family friendly atmosphere they create. I highly recommend this gym! Thanks Dean and Freya
