Recently took my 1988 5.3l V12 XJS into Simons business for work on the engine which after 107k miles had let me down - it reqd removal of both heads - machining - valves seating reset - new gaskets - overhaul of cooling system… replacement of all hoses and belts…etc I handed the car over with some trepidation but I need not have worried- Simon and Nick did a great job, keeping me informed at all stages of the strip and rebuild and after 2/3 weeks I now have my car back and it runs superbly well - thanks Simon for a first class job ! Simon is absolutely fabulous in everything he does! Very meticulous and precise work in every detail.He did my 67 Porsche 911 Body work and also adjusted spacers and brakes to fit new Fuchs wheels to new rear flares. Chassis, body and Fibreglass all perfect for a fair price.5 star recommendation!

Many thanks to Simon for getting my Lotus back on the road. He managed to find a really obscure fault and fixed a long standing mis-fire. Very knowledgeable and professional, with great communications.Definitely a great find for any classic car owner.

I found Fostering Classics through referral by a friend. I asked Simon and his team to help me progress my renovation of my 1955 Ford Thunderbird as I wasn't progressing as fast as I hoped.I asked them to modify and fit the wiring loom, fit a fuel injection system, fit the exhausts, align the steering and a number of smaller jobs.Despite no previous exposure to this model, Simon was able to progress quickly and accurately, problem solving as he went and achieve an excellent overall outcome. His communication was fantastic and his work fastidious and rapid.......I highly recommend Simon and Fostering Classics for their engineering skills and car rebuild abilities and will use them again as my preferred team for this sort of work.

I was recommended to Simon and I am very pleased by the decision I took to go to him with my car. The car had been Imported to the UK and had not run for almost 10 years. Simon went through everything with a fine tooth comb. He checked over everything. His level of thoroughness was quite impressive when he gave me a detailed review of his findings and offered some useful suggestions where required to solve little problems found. His charges for the work were honest and true and I had no problem accepting his bill at the end. A very dedicated, specialist in old car restorations is all I can say, and with confidence. The age of the car, mine being a 1933 Willys original, also not a problem as I saw other more 'modern' antiques there too in his workshop getting some TLC.
