Justice For Tenants

I was referred to Justice for tenants by a deposit scheme that realized my deposit was not secured under theyre name. When I called justice for tenants they let me know my rights and ensured 7 days maximum wait for investigation and then they will contact me for the next steps.I have waited two months and two weeks now, no response. When I ring them, the line thrills every time and they send me to voicemail every time.When I used a different number to contact them they answered, I assume they have a record of numbers that have been used to call them with this issue, in order to possibly avoid you and just send you to voicemails.I saw another review here with the same issue as me, and thought that the chances of that happening to me is little to slim because all the other reviews seemed happy.They stopped responding to my emails now, and I didn’t seek the “justice” that they promised. At this rate I assumed they have given up on me. Now I have double disappointment, losing my deposit with the hope this company might get it back for me, and they failed to do so.If anyone is looking to get they’re deposit back you’re better off paying lawyers where you can meet them and see they’re credentials. If I took this route I would have gotten my deposit back long ago.This service was a waste of time and personally would not recommend it to anyone else especially with my time consumed, and draining experience from the services I did not receive.

Very similar or identical experience to all of the other reviews here that have been written within the last ten months.Multiple attempts to contact J4T via multiple methods: online form (×2), email (×4), and phone (≥10). None answered nor replied to.J4T may have, at one time, been an effective, useful advocate for tenants, but this appears to no longer be the case. In fact, they are now adding to the stress of tenants' injustice, and by continuing to present themselves as active rather than offering auto-response messages explaining their absence, they now effectively become yet another barrier standing in opposition to the rights of tenants.

I have a dispute with a man that illegally sublet me a room and now in the process of claiming back my deposit. I called Justice for Tenants and spoke to Alistair today. I received HONEST and PROFESSIONAL advice. I had contacted other organisations such as Citizens Advice and Ombudsman but the advice I got on the phone today was unmatched with others!!! Alistair provided me with a thorough explanation of how I could claim back my deposit. He made sure I understood every process! I WOULD RECOMMEND >>JUSTICE FOR TENANTS<< TO ANYONE THAT HAS A DISPUTE WITH AGENTS/LANDLORDS. Excellent, efficient and straight to the point genuine advice!!!......Happy customer :)

Justice for tenants did help us when we found out the landlord didn't have a licence to rent out the property. The only thing we had to do was give them our evidence and they did the rest for us. Thanks to them we won, and the amount of the rent repayment order was even more than we expected. The whole team have been so helpful and a big thanks to Clara. We couldn't have done it ourselfs, glad this service exists!

They've had my matter for 9 months, first the application would be done by March, then April, now July.No contact since May now (instigated by me) and no response to the last 3 emails.Should have done it myself

Reached out to Justice for tenants for assistance on a matter.Filled out their questionnaire and sent necessary information requested.This was nearly 2months ago.I have continued to chase for an update and have sent multiple emails with no response at all.In the end I gave up on Justice For Tenants as I was not receiving any replies to my emails.This is also mentioned in a lot of the negative reviews.I have been fortunate to find another organisation that have been more helpful in a much shorter length of time.From my own personal experience, I wouldn’t recommend J4T and perhaps seek help elsewhere.

Edit: they have time to reply to their negative reviews on trulispot in a timely fashion but I am yet to receive any answers to my emails, not to mention the multitude calls they keep choosing not to pick up!For Justice for tenants information: no, I can't give you any reference number because you haven't still bothered to assign one for my enquiry!Absolutely SHAMEFUL.People interested in getting their deposit back: there are other free associations willing to listen to your concerns. I personally reccommend Flat Justice. At least they reserve you the courtesy to pick up your calls.Unlucky, due to their poor service, I am starting to think that all these positive reviews on their page are fake..I've emailed them and filled up the application form on their page. I've called them every day at 9am and 9.30am (the time they claim their office is open)I've received NO answer whatsoever, their automatic inbox keep saying that no advisor is available.My landlord did not secure my deposit in a deposit scheme. I just want to know whether my case has standing and if it does whether they could refer me to a solicitor to help me bring a claim against my landlord(which is the service they claim can provide). If I don't have a claim or if they can't provide legal representation it' fine, at least I know where I stand. I'm disappointed to have not even have received a response..If anyone is in my same situation or feel they don't know where to start to understand their situation, I'd recommend to call Flat Justice, the citizen advice bureau or the Shelter. They won't assign you a solicitor but they will answer the phone at least and give you you breakout of your situation and the legal ramifications attached to it.

DON’T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME.Completely all forms and everything necessary in January. Was promised that our case will be allocated and the process to begin by Daniel.Justice for Tennants throughout the course of 6 months didn’t bother emailing once, I had to initiate the emails asking about an update.Then just last week they’ve told us they cannot proceed with our case after promising that there is a 90% chance that they win their cases.Completely waste of time, don’t give tennants false hope if you’re just going to let us down and waste our time.

I used Justice For Tenants as I had issues recovering my deposit from my letting agency. After my tenancy had ended, the agency ignored all my correspondence about the return of my deposit and I was left unsure about what to do. I sought help and came across their website. They were really quick to respond, and looked into my deposit status and found out my deposit hadn't even been protected by my agency. They managed to return my deposit to me as well as additional money for the stress I'd been through. Would highly recommend.

I spoke to Matthew over the phone who was incredibly helpful with helping me understand my case and the position I was in. He was extremely knowledgeable even having good knowledge of the defendant's representation and their reputation as well as the contacts within the Tribunal. He helped me feel very confident and much more relaxed about my whole situation as well giving me lots of in depth and helpful advice about the situation in general. Would 100% recommend.
