With all the places to eat in town these days, this is a refreshing little gem hidden away near the library. Vegetarian food, plus a good selection of vegan fare as well. Lots of the vegetables used are grown by the guys who run the place and the food is well prepared, fresh, tasty and good value for money. Lovely for a spot of light lunch.

Me and my partner came in here as I saw it was a vegetarian cafe on Instagram- we loved it! I you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients and I love that they locally source their produce! I had the Turkish Eggs and it was like nothing I’d ever tasted before- we will definitely be coming back

Firstly, patch’s flat white’s are my absolute favourites.Secondly, the soup is always delicious and comes with a surprise i.e. spiced seeds on the top!Finally, the staff…make patch the best space in Colchester!Thank you for providing a warm, welcoming, friendly space!Today I ordered quince and orange cordial, oyster mushrooms, curried carrot and cauliflower soup. Divine.

The new eatery Colchester knew it needed.Absolutely unreal food you’d expect at a high-end restaurant at a reasonable price with excellent staff and service. Four of us came for brunch but the menu looked so good we ended up buying five dishes like tapas and sharing the lot. We did not regret it.Catering for gfo, vegans, decafs, with free sanitary products for those who need it, and an LGBTQ+ safe space sticker in the window, this is a progressive and cosy space not just for foodies but for everyone.

My favourite place to eat and drink in Colchester!The food is really out of this world, so tasty and filling, cooked to perfection. My personal faves are the hash brown stack, risotto and the seasonal soups which are always delicious. If you’re going in for breakfast, treat yourself to the best scrambled eggs in town! I’m a big coffee drinker, and love the coffee here (particularly a pumpkin spice oat latte!).The service is genuinely warm and welcoming, with a lovely team of fun and friendly people. Very relaxed and inclusive atmosphere and loads of great events happening too. Highly recommended!

Food is just incredible, definitely a go-to for lunch. The servers are super friendly and attentive, I would definitely recommend the Caesar salad or the Turkish eggs, but everything I've tried so far is just delicious.

Went tonight for patches late where they serve an a la carte menu. The food was stunning as always visually and in taste. The service is impeccable everyone is so friendly and accommodating and they all look so happy to be at work. There’s always a great atmosphere whenever we come into patch and so pleased they are now open Saturday evenings to serve even more delicious food!
