Highgate Veterinary Clinic

I moved to the area from London and was very worried about finding a replacement to my family vet down south. Highgate took all that worry from me. From the very first phone call I felt welcome, reassured and valued. Straight away my dog had to have surgery but Claire was incredibly kind and patient. She explained everything to me and I felt everything was in hand, despite it being a very emotional and traumatic time. The Knowledge and experience at the practice is greater than I have experienced anywhere else. I cannot thank Claire, Liz and the rest of the team enough.

What a warm welcoming place. My dog can't pass without wanting to go in and that's because she is made such a fuss of all the time. She has had several visits over the last few months and all the team have been understanding and friendly. They really made Crash feel at home. After any treatment they always ensue I have all the information needed and arrange follow up appointments. I get text reminders to keep my dog happy and healthy.

We have (unfortunately I suppose!) used Highgate Vets very regularly for the last 6 months...one of our Shelties had horrendous injuries after being run over, and the dedicated staff at Highgate nursed her through the night before immediately referring us to a specialist surgeon on a Saturday morning. If it hadn't been for Catriona and Liz's skill and care through that night, as well as nurse Helen, she wouldn't have made it, I have no doubts about that. Since then we have been visiting regularly to help her in her recovery, and with the help of Marcelle using Electro-acupuncture and physiotherapy to stimulate her nerves and muscles, as well as being referred to a special underwater treadmill, our little girl is well on the way to being fully recovered. I cannot recommend them enough, all of the staff truly care about what is best for your pet, not just their profits, which isn't all that easy to find these days. Thank you to everyone at Highgate for the care and help over the last 6 months :)

We've entrusted Hughgate Vets with all our dogs and have always received excellent care and advice from them. We also really like the pet health plan which helps spread the cost of routine care such as vaccinations. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

This has been our vet for 4 years and we love them. They are always friendly and quick to respond to any concerns. They have a fab system of texting to remind you about shots and meds due and an easy ordering system to refill regular medication. The vets and nurses are always kind and very gentle, the reception staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Great staff, we were on holiday and don’t know the area. One of their off duty staff stopped over when they saw our car parked up next to the road, recovering a hurt guillemot that was in danger. She was very helpful and even though it was late in the day helped out, made a few calls and then took us to the vets with the bird to give it a check up. Hopefully the guillemot makes a full recovery and gets back to sea.Thank you for the assistance.

Very helpful staff particularly the vet nurse ( Isobel??apologies if it's wrong name) who kindly advised us about our Bichon's post op wound and helped us find some bootees to help protect it . This was a last minute appointment and they took us in immediately .Much appreciated

Can’t thank Charlotte at Highgate Vets enough. At lunchtime my greyhound Elsie started panting, lip licking and drooling. Didn’t know what to do with herself.Clearly something wasn’t right so I shot up to Highgate (50 mins drive away)Charlotte asked lots and lots of questions and did a thorough examination and identified a pulled muscle or trapped nerve causing her back pain.The meds are helping Elsie and I’m so relieved that we have such a great practice within driving distance! Well worth the drive to get the expertise.

Very understanding and sympathetic. Took over the care of one of my pets, after being hugely let down by another practice, and they instantly took the time to listen to and answer fully all of my questions. I wish I'd found them sooner. Extremely professional and friendly.
