Great family run garage honest and won't rip you off my partners family have used them for years and I've been using them for the past 3 years I won't go anywhere else now for car repairs or MOTs

This garage has been here for as long as I can remember! Used by my parents before me. Staff are friendly and polite. Work is fairly priced. My car could've failed its' MOT due to headlights covers becoming shaded with grime on the inside, but the staff took the time to remove them and clean them, no charge. Open until 6 so was able to still collect the car same working day. Staff are honest with you, if they feel it is a big job and they are booked up, you are given an estimate of when they'll be able to fit you in, rather than just accept the work. There is nothing corporate about this garage which is what I love, no attempts at up-sells, female drivers - you are not treated in any condescending way at all, family owned; it's good to know you are supporting a local business.

Best garage in the area IMHO - fantastic customer service, plenty of friendly banter and good advice, wouldn't go anywhere else! Have looked after my old Fiesta since we moved here four years ago.

I've been going there for 30+ years from Nottingham, which is 35 miles away but worth the journey. As the other reviewers say, they are a genuine and trustworthy family-run garage. They don't advertise. They don't need to. Word of mouth is what feeds them. Proper old-fashioned engineering mechanics (see their stock cars race!) but with the necessary diagnostic computer when required, but without the dealership add-on charges. Friendly, honest and value for money.

Booked my car in for an MOT. Dropped the car at 9am and was told I would receive a call to update me on the status of the vehicle. 5pm came and no call received. Phoned them to be told that the car had failed it’s MOT on a track end ball joint but they couldn’t fit me in for repairs for over 3 weeks, by which time the certificate would have expired and I would not have been eligible for a free re-test.Took my car to a different garage the next day to be informed that the there was no excessive play and my car should never have been failed. They happily retested for a reduced price and passed it with no problems.Seems oddly suspicious, as a woman, that they failed my car and could only fit me in for a one hour repair job after the free re-test period would have expired.

Really helpful and inviting staff learnt to drive just over two years ago now the first time I had my car motd I went to halfords and it was quite expensive for the very long wait but I decided I would take my car to a more reliable garage and decided on this one only about 4 miles from where I live and the service was incredible price was very good and it didnt take nearly 3 hours like at halfordsWould definitely recommend for some of my friends who have started trying to drive and I will definitely come again
