I looked for a cricket club this summer (having been caught up in the Ashes and after moving to St. George this year). After finding them here on Maps, and checking the ECB page, I contacted and was met very promptly by really organised and helpful emails from club admin, and got given all the information needed! I was added to their WhatsApp group and could join in for matches as I was available.First game, I was really thrilled to find some of the friendliest and most welcoming adults I've met at a sports club. Comparing with past experiences with different sports and another cricket club, I feel like I've got lucky here! There's a mixture of all adult ages and different abilities, which made getting involved easier.I spent the rest of the season playing some midweek T20, and weekend League games, and have had a great time getting involved with the club. Next up will be the pre-season indoor nets in March which they've provided dates and information already - really good organisation. There's also a few socials and dinners throughout the year, and a club AGM. Turns out that this club is over 120 years old!I'm definitely sticking around for as long as I live here in east Bristol, and would really encourage others looking for a club to give them a go too :) I've attached some photos from my time this summer with the club!
