I used Swayne Consulting to come up with the structural drawings for my kitchen renovation, which required a structural wall taking down. Sam was very helpful and took the time to clearly explain everything to me, nothing was too much trouble. His communication was excellent and I found it very easy to contact him for any queries outside of normal" office hours.The drawings were done within a few days which meant I didn't have to wait weeks before passing onto my builder.Overall I found Sam polite and friendly and would recommend his services to anyone needing a Structural Engineer."

Swayne Consulting kindly squeezed in a last minute appointment that I urgently needed. The engineer undertook a survey on an old roof. As he viewed the rafters he told me exactly what was going on with the rather bizarre roof design, he explained in a way that I (someone with little experience or knowledge of terminologies) could easily understand. This helped me not panic over the situation and understand what needed to be done, this was incredibly helpful as I could understand the urgency of the issue and future signs to look out for. He managed to figure out solutions on the spot and recommended next steps to solve the problems. He was very thorough, definitely in good hands. He kindly also looked at the chimney which was listing. Again he gave me 2 solutions for the problem. All-in-all it felt like I was in great hands, good value for money and just in general a really nice engineer. Will definitely use again. Thanks Swayne Consulting

Swayne Consulting provided a great service, with a home visit arranged very soon after my initial enquiry and drawings delivered shortly afterwards. During the survey Sam took the time to explain everything in an informative and easy to understand way and was even happy to provide useful information on other aspects of the build not directly related to the instruction. Sam's assistance was invaluable in helping us evaluate possible solutions and decide on a course of action for the project. Excellent value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to ask Sam back should I require any further structural engineer consultancy in the future.
