Halfords - Aberdare

Actually shocked by the service I received this afternoon. Windscreen wipers I bought in April which were advised to pay extra for the premium Halfords type at over £50 had developed an annoying screech and knocking sound in the rain. As these have a 12 standard warranty I went to have them changed. The young female working there told me there’s usually tiny stone chips that we can’t see that ruin the wipers and it’s a common thing and laughed at my explanation. Said she’s always changing hers so advises to just keep buying cheap ones to replace constantly. This is a relatively new 4 series bmw that does local travel and hardly any mileage that I thought would benefit from an expensive premium set of wipers. Was handed a new set and told to pop the old ones back in with my e-receipt. When entering the replacement details on the screen, to be laughed at by herself and another young lad because of the reason that the originals were ‘squeaking’ I was surprised I didn’t shout them down for being so unprofessional. Safe to say I won’t be visiting here again and will be exiting the Halfords motoring club. All this for a set of wipers!

Needed a new headlight bulb fitted. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very quick service. Highly recommended

I went to your aberdare store today, and I have to say, the staff were absolutely amazing! Everyone was super helpful, but especially the lady that helped me with my new windscreen wipers! (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) My windscreen is massive, and she spent so much time with me to get them measured perfect. Can't thank her enough for her help. I'll definitely be back at this store for any future motoring needs, definitely the best Halfords I've ever been to because of how great the staff were :)

Staff are very good, asked to inspect a vehicle that I purchased, he found a few faults that I can now go back to the dealer for them to correct the issues, Thanks very much.

Popped back today because I changed my mind to have the bulb I bought yesterday fitted. Didn't get the name of the young lady who fitted the bulb but she mentioned she was into motor cross. Really helpful, professional and fitted the bulb in super quick time. It was a no brainer to pay for the fit and her persona throughout was really friendly.Great service, credit to the firm.
